You know how some things just hit you like a ton of bricks? One day you are sitting around waiting to escape the dullness that your life has become and then the next you are bombared with a whole lot of commitments?
Three days ago we got a border collie puppy who we have named Belle. She's a little over 8 weeks old now and so is still basically a baby who requires constant monitoring and attention. Added to that my parents will be taking a trip to New Zealand for 8 days next week, leaving me as the only person at home to take care of her. She's really cute though, here is a picture:
Secondly, I had a job interview at the Hyatt Hotel yesterday which I think went pretty darn well and so it's highly likely that I will be getting that job. I need money badly so I'll probably be working there as much as I can.
University started up again yesterday. I'm doing it externally which actually means it is harder since I need to motivate myself to do all the readings and study and questions and stuff rather than just going along to the lectures. I'm doing 3 units, but they are all high level 3rd/4th year stuff which means I can't just slack along and get a credit like you can do in first year.
So what does all this mean for translating? Unfortunately it takes second priority behind those other things. I'll try and keep up with Defense Devil translations just because I really like the series, and Rosario to Vampire since it is pretty popular. I'll also try and get around to Akatsuki because there is a dedicated scanlation group working on it.
The other series I work on though are probably going to have to take a back seat for a while. *Siiigh*
