It's been a long time since I've pulled one of these, but I think that with 2009 coming to an end (and with it, the end of an entire decade), it was time to give a bit of an update regarding my translation situation. Sorry for keeping it business, I doubt anyone wants to know (or cares) about the personal stuff and that's not what this is for in the first place. So where to get started:

-As those who are watching Kinnikuman know, we're breezing through the series...really quickly in some aspects. You probably have noticed we're approaching a "certain crucial fight"...but I'll be holding off until at least next week until we start it. I think after the stupidity of the last fight (and how the next fight is long and dive bombs us into the final year of content), we deserve a small break even if it's just over the Christmas/New Years period. I do want to maybe try to also get back into a couple more Kinnikuman Lady chapters...but when it comes, it comes. (oh, and I have another suggestion regarding Kinnikuman but I won't get into that until after the series is essentially over)

-On the other hand, I know I've been rather slow on Sakigake!! Otokojuku in some aspects as of late but I guess with all going on with my life (and Kinnikuman as a higher priority), I've had to slow it down aside from the quick spurts that I do sometimes. (as you've noticed, I did another one today...though two of those chapters I did Christmas eve) That series will be sped through as quickly and accurately as possible...though I know in some ways my translations do suck and really need better proofreading.

-I think that with Kinnikuman nearing it's end and Otokojuku on a fast-track too, I've been thinking hard about my next project...and at this point, I am seriously thinking that after one is ended, I'm immediately going back to Wingman. I feel sort of upset I dropped it all that time back but I was just so into Otokojuku (and Kinnikuman just needed to be done) that I had to put it on the backburner for a long time. But the Dream Hero will be making a glorious return in 2010...and hopefully Aoi remains as strangely cute as ever!

-Now for a major apology for those of you who follow my only seinen series Desire: I know I virtually stopped all translations of the series but I guess...stuff came up. Blame partially Cartoon Network for showing good stuff on my translating nights again...and also blame getting a crummy volume 5! (not to mention that last chapter...yeah, when your last chapter has that "smirking turtle", you sort of fear what else will be happening) If anyone else wants to take the series over be my guest, cause I may not be back to Desire for a long time.

-Another major apology for a series actually starting to build a base: I really, really do want to get back to KochiKame, in particular since it may be catching on more than I even expected. (people have shown interest and I even saw someone use a Ryotsu panel from a chapter I translated a while back), but of course with it's super-length it's not like a series that will be done overnight. I guess unless someone wants that, I'll be doing vol. 3 after I finish Kinnikuman or Otokojuku (and of course after I restart Wingman).

-Another huge comment I have to make: stop asking me about AiKora. I still feel extremely embarrassed by the whole situation and that's why I never moved beyond the short period I did do, regardless of unknowing whose fault what was and why it happened the way it happened.

-As for new projects, always open for new ideas and always have ideas of my own. Though...considering that it does seem like I am rather booked (with Kinnikuman and Otokojuku now and hopefully my returns to Wingman and/or KochiKame), I doubt I'll get to them too soon...unless it has a certain factor that just makes me say "I need to do this".
