This CP is so retro. There was a guy who converted modern movies into retro 80s poster and I can see where Hokazono was drawing inspiration from.

Also, off topic, Hokazono-sensei will do greater things once he learnt color theory and the techniques that Ishida Sui used. I think in terms of color illustrations, Ishida is number one. He makes all his color art look so effortless, and it is so obvious he has very solid foundation over color theory and composition. Hokazono has more painterly type art. He is about there. But i find his color a bit muddy now (as in, his foundation over color and light is not as good as Ishida)

I wonder if it's the serious content in general that people didn't like in Nue, or if it's Shitotsu specifically that's causing this drop. I think it'll recover once the this new training arc starts being ranked though.
