Welcome to the new thread for news and discussions about the Weekly Young Jump magazine!

Weekly Young Jump is a weekly manga magazine published by Shueisha since 1979, with a current print circulation of 340.000 copies per issue is the 2nd biggest seinen magazine in Japan behind only Big Comic Original (Shogakukan) and home of many of the biggest seinen series in Japan like Kingdom, Gantz, Tokyo Ghoul, Real, Terra Formars, Kaguya-sama, Golden Kamuy and others. Young Jump is part of the Seinen demographic that is focused on male adult readers but different than magazines like Grand Jump, Young Jump series has a notable "younger" tone, which is the strongest point of the magazine, being able to produce adult series but still with mainstream appeal.

I hope this series sells well. It seems much more interesting than Made in Hikkomuse did, and honestly, the nostalgia hits me pretty nicely. If the average age of WYJ readers is late 20s/early 30s, I think a lot of this should bring up some bouts of nostalgia too.

My thoughts on Shikizaki Shimai wa Abakaretai 1st chapter since it was my most expected new series on YJ, judging only be the raw ofc but i thought was a fine start, it's definitely interesting, the girls are obviously hot, the art was what expected for the author, some weird body proportions here and there but overall good, specially in the important moments and while it has a more seinen vibe compared to Val x Love it was a LOT more tame than what i expected, the highlight was obvious the final pages:


I guess the author wants a more "build up" ecchi instead of just going bonkers from chapter 1 which is smart but it's indeed super tame compared to Val x Love 1st chapter that was in a shounen magazine, it will obviously escalate more and more, i just hope Ryousuke makes good use of being in a seinen magazine, and ofc, that it sells at least decently.

oh nice, i always assumed it's getting a fourth season

Brain's Base is pretty reliable studio so i'm not worried

i wonder how will they handle s3 ending, they skipped a lot of chapters to Ogata fleeing
