It didn't. Only got a color. By its anniversary, they probably had already decided on axing it.

So Nue is in actual danger then? ToC rankings haven’t been good and sales are relatively stagnant to the point where I don’t think they buy the manga any leeway. If the next batch is axing two, it’s got until the next one to try and dig itself out. It’s not that hard imo since it just needs to find a way to appeal to the audience that had it doing well in the ToC to start

Actually quite excited to see how Tsugimanga turns out this year. Seems to me that Kagurabachi and Dogsred might be competing for that top spot, Astro too if its future chapters are any good.

Pretty Face and P2 are oddities in that they got anniversary covers but still got axed 3 and 5 chapters later respectively. This means the decision to axe them was probably already known, yet they still got covers for the anniversary.
