Yukino looks a bit out of place on that cover for me.

Yeah. Every1 is shocked of hair color, but first thing I notice is why Yukino there ?

Perhaps he has more role for her in the story, but so far she is really nothing. Mostly gone after handing her keys to Lucy. Eventually Mashima will cast here away for Lucy sake.

Yukino didn't hand her keys over to Lucy. She offered and Lucy rejected her offer. How much do people have to not be paying attention to forget that? She's on the cover because volume 36 contains the chapters they break her and Lucy out of the cell. The one that's out of place on the cover is Loki who doesn't appear in any of the chapters in the volume. Volume 36 ends on chapter 308, he doesn't show until chapter 309.

This portion: "but so far she is really nothing. Mostly gone after handing her keys to Lucy." You switch from talking about the future to talking about the present in the first sentence, then nothing in the second sentence indicates you're talking about the future and making predictions.

And one other thing they went to save Lucy not Yukino, so again she is just some1 that was there.

And Yukino was there, joined them for the escape, and was preparing to help them battle. Ergo she lands a spot on the cover.

2) In a very recent cover there's a shot of Levy's.
3) Well, we see the panties of Cana in Ryuzetsu land, even tough >I don't know if this can be considered.

With Natsu's face like that, the cover should've just been him, Happy and Lucy on there. Epic face. Zasz you're right though that Minerva's face looks a bit...I'd say bland. Alternatively, the cover should've featured the female trio, in some sort of split panel cover.
