Dude, face it, the ending is going to be divisive one way or another, either upsetting those that believe Deku can be a hero without a Quirk, or those who didn't want Deku to lose his Quirk.
Hey, a crazy yet plausible version of my earlier theory just came to me. What if during the final battle, AFO finds himself striking Deku without intending to and wondering what caused it. It turned it was because of Tenko's subconscious still inside him. Due to Deku having thrown all of OFA's...
I'm holding out hope that the vestiges aren't truly gone forever and are actually buried deep in Tenko's subconscious, and as his last act defiance against his 'master', Tenko will transfer them back to Deku, with his parting words being "The world needs crazy heroes like you".
Too bad Deku will only be regenerated two to three minutes. It would've been nice if Eri had been able to undo all the damage his body had sustained since he first used OFA. Speaking of which, while the vestiges probably won't return, maybe if Deku's lucky, he'll regain all the Quirks he...
I'm hoping that will be a factor (no pun intended) to Deku maintaining his full power. Perhaps she managed to make one final new order: "Should the crying child be set free from his pain, any and all heroic Quirks within All For One will be transferred to to my Master's prodigy!"
From the sounds of it, Deku won't be giving up all his Quirks; he may at least end up keeping Blackwhip. Also, I still think there's a chance Rei could restore One For All with Rewind. Or perhaps 'Tenko' will give him all the Quirks in All For One. Either way, I doubt anyone at U.A will let it...
But he said he read Deku's memories and understands him better now. Surely after that, he wouldn't order Deku to perform an act that he knows would be more sacrificial to Deku than the vestiges.
But wouldn't that make him more or less like All Might again? The OFA Quirks were what set him apart...
You know, there's a chance we're misconstruding what the Second User is intending. He obviously knows how important Deku's dream is to him, and I doubt he'd force it to give it up to stop Shigaraki. He might mean it's time for Deku to say good-bye to the vestiges, not the Quirk itself.
I fail to see why you think the arc's writing is garbage. The action is pretty good in my opinion. And I wouldn't say that about the League members. Spinner is still alive (and hopefully will get his sanity back) and Uravity did manage to get through to Toga; it's just that she chose to...
You know, when you talk about all the times Deku's put others before himself, you make me feel all the more that this time will be subverted. Somehow, I don't think Bakugo and his friends are going to let it fly that after everything he's done, his reward would be going back to how he started.
Well, let's not give up just yet. The manga's had a habit of subverting expectations. Everyone was convinced All Might was going to meet his end holding off All For One, so this might come out okay as well.
So what you're saying is that Deku giving up his dream to save ONE person and going back to being a Quirkless individual while his friends/classmates go onto have careers is considered a good ending?
I don't know how I feel about this. Deku goes down in history as the greatest hero ever, and his reward is that he'll never be a hero again? How is that fair? I bet even Bakugo and their classmates will protest him getting such a fate after all he's done.
