This chapter proves that the previous one was definitely useless and Baam's new form is... well.
I miss the time when his fights were simpler. Baangs, blue oar, floral butterfly piercing technique, thorn.
Why do I feel like the season 3 is just a side quest while we missing the main one...
Gege is a daring author and I fucking love that.
And btw, killing a popular character doesn't mean the author hates him. It means he loves and respects his story more than anything.
Normally I'd go for option "Baam will lose because the MC is actually AA in SIU's subconscious".
But since his BFFs are involved I don't think SIU will make his lose.
Even more, I fear that Baam will use the heart to somehow give them another power up.
Rinse and repeat.
Such a shame season...
SIU should have end the chapter on whatever outcome this new defeat is (awakening, outside intervention, cries,...).
Then maybe the ratings wouldn't be 2.87 (I believe it's an all time low) but at least 5 I suppose.
The nearly incomprehensible battle scenes still remain a problem though.
It's one thing to have an unusable power right from the beginning of the story.
It's another to stockpile them along the way without even use them, without knowing where they came from, without even wanting to know what they are.
As a reader it only adds frustration. That and the fact that...
What's the point of giving him dozen of power only to keep them for later?
Why not give him... later?
He could have let him grow iteratively, take his time to explain each power and let us readers digest the information.
For those that read Toriko, imo the author did a better job at...
What it feels like reading a battle in ToG
Bro zoom out a little.
Also I wish Baam didn't systematically need to get stomped to surpass his ennemy.
Not only it's cliché since forever but both time it happened he didn't even use everything he got.
SIU can do better than that.
I wouldn't...
Yeah but the fact that the bubble was in another panel means it can be interpreted differently, like Sukuna being interrupted by someone else casting the spell.
Hence his surprise
Last time he had a distraction was in the middle of the chapter not at the end.
Looks too big of an event to be a "mere" distraction/illusion.
Gege putting Gojo fans on suicide watch twice would be the biggest troll ever though.
Again, except for boohoohoo flashbacks, I'm not talking about story since jjk is mostly fights.
Sorry if it wasn't clear, hard to translate my thoughts in English.
I love how Gege cut all the bs that polluted fight plots to keep the good stuff only.
It's more mature than all the shonens you...
It's not the death itself that was fishy, it's the aftermath.
I know that nobody had time to mourn his death in the situation they were in but I felt like everyone was acting like they expected it.
Well, we now know they did but still, the whole gang was like "it's all part of the plan...
