I so agree with you. I'm actually digging right into it when there're proper explanations. I actually put myself in a more comfortable position on my chair, and I'm all like 'Let's gooo! Explain to me! Feed me with knowledge!'

I really NEED to start reading Berserk. My brother recommended it to me about 2 years ago and I keep postponing reading it. Maybe because unconsciously I know I'd struggle to find a better manga...?

Death Note definitely added something new for me... I wouldn't say it's the best (There're so many of them that could be called the Greatest Manga of All Times actually), but it's a manga I would read and re-read with the same excitement every single time.

That's interesting because nowadays, they would always enhance the drawing part rather than the writing part (I heard so many times that if you need to communicate too much in writing, that means the picture in itself is not strong enough to convey the message). Well, I think sometimes...
