Welcome to Mangahelper's 2013 Anime Awards​

First Round Rules

• Submit nominations for each category in the appropriate award thread.
• Each member is allowed up to three nominations per category.
• You are not required to post nominations in every category.
• Please clearly state the title of your nomination.
• Please bold the titles of the anime you nominate.
• Do not post nominations to this thread.
• Past winners will not be eligible for nomination in the category they won. Past winners will be listed in the opening post of each thread.

During round one you may edit one nomination per category. Please make a new post in the category thread stating what nomination you want to add, and which you would like to remove.

The first round will last from December 22, 2013 through January 4, 2014

Second Round Rules

• The five anime that receive the most nominations in round one will move on to round two.
• Round two is a voting round.
• A poll will be posted in each category.
• You do not have to vote in every category.
• Once cast, votes can not be changed.

Polls will open on January 7, 2014. Polls will close on January 14, 2014.

Final Round Rules

• The final round will also be a voting round.
• You can vote for only one title per category.
• Once cast, votes are final.
• This round will decide the winner of each category.

Polls will open on January 16, 2014. Polls will close on January 31, 2014.

Claymore is viable, as long as it is nominated in the appropriate categories.

Favorite Anime of 2013, Best Surprise, and Most Disappointing are the only categories restricted to this year. There is no time limit on any other category

Sure. Sticking to canon, romantic couples is a little boring, no? As long as they are from the same series, and no trolling.

Because it is too specific a category, with too many possible fights to choose from. There have been a lot of fights in anime history. "Best fight" would make a better anime showdown category than awards category.

The first voting round is now closed. We will have one more tiebreaker round, followed by the final voting round. The final round will include the top two winners from this round. The tiebreaker round will break any second place ties.

Misaka is the mascot of this year Anime Awards. She has to win at least in one category, Claymore isn't winning this time.

Well there is, because Teresa won an award that most of the mods thought she wouldn't because she wasn't so popular but doesn't mean she wasn't worth of the title.. Same as here Clare deserves to win it although Misaka is more popular.. Plus at least now you hear of Claymore which was almost dead outside of Claymore forum, which means that the fans are finally doing something and our Mod Utsune is doing his best for the forum and us

But Teresa is cooler than Clare. Mikasa is on another level .

Because of all this I added Claymore to my list .

I'm going to use every possible way to prevent Clare from winning this round. In all honesty, it's like comparing a stone with a diamond.

Because of all this I added Claymore to my list .

Claymore has a good start and continues to be good until some time later. After the last huge revelation it turns into a huge boring mess full of boring fights. I guess catching up makes it a bit more easy and acceptable, but I almost skipped it time and time again, waiting each month for another boring chapter (besides some small exceptions here and there). Nothing against Claymore fans but the strong support from them almost feels like blind fanboyism. Clare winning would be even more outrageous than the Teresa madness.
