about acnologia its been shown that he has dark blue hair

and jellal also has blue hair (edit: and as another person said they both have facial marks and in rave master sieghart the person jellal was based off of was born with his facial tatoo so both acnologia and jellal could have been born with their marks
and jellals love interest erza her mother had a nickname as the queen of dragons

so it would be fitting for jellals father to be the king of dragons

plus edolas jellals father was the king of edolas so it would also fit for jellals father to be a king or have king as epitaph. acnologia is king of dragons faust is king of edolas.

plus in edolas there had been a good amount of foreshadowing for future plot point of natsu being e.n.d.

plus when natsu dressed up as great demon lord dragneel he talked about stealing all of edolass magic power which tartarus demons sought to do

coincidentally early in the arc carla had pretended to be the daughter of queen chagot

in order to get knightwalker to back off which she believed was a lieand at the end it was revealed to be true despite carla not knowing about it

not only that but at the end of edolas arc faust had used the dragon knight armopr to attack which took the shape of a black dragon and it was shown that no one but the dragon slayers could damage it and we learnt that real dragons are just as durable meaning that nondragonslayer magic can not hurt them

faust used an armor reinforced dragon with him spitting out blasts of energy out of its mouth so it would fit for fausts earthland counterpart to be a dragon slayer who can turn into a dragon

plus fausts dragon armors strongest mode had it turn black called it black heaven dragon knight and acnologias dragon form is black and he is called the black dragon of the apocalpyse

plus faust wanted to capture dragon slayers to use to gain more power to use as tools to gain eternal magic power which he hungered for and acnologia wants to kill them all and is the most powerful person on earthland which he enjoys so they are both interested in getting at the dragon slayers

and faust was edolas jellals father so it would fit for acnologia to be jellals father or at least an ancestor

plus acnologia is near erza right now and jellal will come to her
edit: plus acnologia referred to himself as the dragon that ate all magics the dragon of magics acnologia. and fausts dragon armor was fueld by an enormous magicpower that came from around edolas and thirsted for more magic which is paralleld by acnologias boast of eating all magics
etc possibly due to acnologias actions for he is the dragon of magics who has boasted of eating all magic so the lack of ethernano is due to his actions and faust hungered for eternal magic which is paralleled by acnologias boast of eating all magics

(In the offficial translation for chapter 527 chapter 528s title was dragon of magic) so acnologia in the offfical translation of this manga chapter would call himself the dragon of magic

this implies that acnologia is immune to all magic attacks like the dragon knight faust used
and the fact that acnologia eats magic attacks parallels with how fausts dragon knight is powered by gathering magic into itselfs

and its fitting that back 400 years ago that it was acnologia who caused the lack of ethernano since he is the dragon of magics who has boasted of eating all magic so the lack of ethernano is due to his actions and faust hungered for eternal magic and the dragon knight which takes the form of a black dragon and absorbs the magic power of the whole world and charging a tax of it which is paralleled by acnologias boast of eating all magics and causing there to be a lack of ethernano when the dragon knight was forbidden due to its absorbing magic power around the world ( of edolas so the dragon knight was hungry for magic just like how faust and his dragon knight was really hungry for magic. for faust was really power-hungry

so the dragon knight was useless in a place without magic like in an area where face was activated which fits since acnologia was effected by face and Not just because he’s not a “true” dragon like Igneel; he eats magic in general. Face didn’t just stop him from using magic, it basically immaciated him.

Well when Acnologia was standing in front of Wendy and she didn't recognize the smell of Acnologia similar to either Jellal or Gajeel.So Acnologia is not related to either of this characters.

Shouldn't Acnologia recognize Jellal by now, if he is indeed Jellal's father or ancestor? They even fought against each other in chapter 528, but there is no indication whatsoever about a possible relationship, even though it would have been the perfect time.

Although we have yet to see how capable Wendy's nose is on screen(she did use it offscreen a couple times)she didn't say anything about Jellal and Acnologia's smells being familiar. I think it's safe to assume Jellal is not related to Acno.

That's probably because Natsu's original smell changed.Sting was able to say Larcade and Natsu's smell are same but not Natsu and Zeref's.So Dragon Slayers can smell other Dragon Slayers.
