there has been several key facts revealed in the last few chapters:
1. yuno's necklace, dropped off with yuno and asta, has a key magic stone critical to the elf race
2. cloned bodies and the ability to reincarnate elves into them
3. elf god
4. gate to hell
5. ancient elf-human agreement to control the gate to hell

first, yuno's necklace means someone knew the importance of the magic stones and the elf massacre. patri was not even awaken when asta and yuno were delivered to the church. so who could it be?
1. someone or group that had the knowledge of the past and that patri reincarnated without even patri being fully awaken. seems unlikely. furthermore, why entrust such important assets to kids growing up in church?
2. someone who could see the past and future (though limited) - the primary candidate would be someone with time magic...
3. someone who came back from the future to prevent the impending elf-demon disaster - the primary candidate would obviously be someone with time magic...

so the likely person would be julius. though he seem to have only limited knowledge, but he did seem to know a lot more than he was telling. killing patri/william would be simple, but perhaps he did not want to kill patri/william but wanted to revive the elves because he needed their help to fight the demons?

perhaps the elf god was the elf making a deal with the devil since the elves knew they were opening the gate to hell?

or perhaps the demons tricked the elves?
perhaps the demons tricked a jealous patri to somehow kill the elf village but gave them the power for reincarnation to open the gate to hell?

i would not be surprised the ending to the current arc will have the demons invade and beaten back but patri possessed by a demon...

here is an unconventional way to consider nero.
nero is featured far too much in the anime intro, so i cannot believe nero is a bad guy.
william is in the intro also, but not in the same way as nero.
not clear what nero is.
here is my question - does nero land on anyone with lots of mana like noelle?
anti-birds are not supposed to stay around people with strong mana...

one, he did not attack the humans.
i understand the stated reason is that the elves are so powerful that it was moot.
two, mimosa said the magic used in the room where david is was neither human nor elf.
i understand the way ryaa was injured is very different than how unharmed david looks.
however, perhaps it was a possession that went from david to ronne?
