I have been thinking about this for a very long time now and it bothers me. Since the end of GMG arc with introducing Eclipse and Alternate Timelines. I have been thinking that they are not part of one actual reality, but as different realities as part of a multiverse. That would explain many things, why Future Rogue and Future Lucy from two different worlds can exist in similar one.
And that makes me think, if Eclipse Gate was never introduced, we could have very well Gotten a different future, such as the one where Lucy bows before Zeref, a future we didn’t see, thinking about it now, Since the Eclipse Event, we got a future that is different from the rest of them, so we have been living in a new alternate timeline.
