Yeah they're so perfectly in-character in a comedy spinoff

They are in character, thats just them when they arent worried about the holy grail.
The comical side of Saber, Shirou and all other characters seen in Carnival Phantasm are taken from Fate Stay/Night's sequel, Fate Hollow Ataraxia. The anime's creators didnt just pull those personalities out of their asses.
So while Carnival Phantasm obviously isnt canon, the personalities of the characters in it for the most part, are.

In the end Im voting for Saber, the campaign convinced me even if Mikasa is truly a worthy rival (save the "EREN" mode).

I picked Mikasa, but overall they're both pretty uninteresting. I like Fate but why do they always make the main characters so much less interesting than the side characters?

Kiritsugu is one of my faves but I think Rin > Shiro
