Would that even work? Sure the CG will be great but the stuff in Berserk seems too raw for Hollywood. They'd probably censor/remove quite a bit to make it much more marketable and mainstream plus I feel like the extreme groups will pounce on the series for its treatment of women.

That is NOT Berserk.
It's gonna be a adaptation of Grant Morrison's comicseries "The Nameless" (look here and take a close look at the symbol and compare it to the Brand of Sacrifice: https://goo.gl/images/qCbQoS)

And it fits to James Gunn's MO and profile. It's a horror comic for a horror-director. AND he's announcing it at SDCC (San Diego omic Con).
No Berserk. Simple as that, case closed.
