The results are in for the first Anime Awards Ceremony (2010) at long last! The moment you have been waiting for, has finally arrived! [Drum rolls]

But first, our thanks. We thank everyone for their participation in nominating, voting, discussing, critiquing, and suggesting ideas for future Awards Ceremonies. This wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of the staff and most importantly our cherished members and loyal fans of anime!

but secondly, let's review of how we got to the winner(s) of the Best Action Category.

I went with Code Geass on this one - as an original series it was very enjoyable and every battle was blood-pumping and exciting. The really good animation was, of course, a treat to the eyes as well There were many memorable and dramatic scenes, and with all its cliff-hangers you'll be kept wriggling in your seat biting your nails wondering who'll get the upper hand the next time and who will emerge on top.

for me, Hellsing Ultimate and Black Lagoon, truly fall under action, as that is almost entirely what they are, albiet very bloody/violent action, lol.

So, I chose Hellsing Ultimate over Black Lagoon, as Hellsing Ultimate is even more vicious/brutal than Black Lagoon, not by that much, but enough, lol

Code Geass certainly has incredible action as well, but it's more specified (mecha action and some non-mecha action too, martial arts with Kallen and Suzuka - whatever his name - Lelouche's friend/nemisis/rival trying to change the world "from within" while Lelouche changes the world "from the outside"), and it is about a lot more than just action, it's quite heavy sci-fi and philosophy type of stuff, some really deep stuff.

Bleach has good fantasy action of course too, and some really bad-ass fights especially with Ichigo (his hollow/zengetsu forms and battles), but there's some others as well of course too.

Samurai Champloo has INCREDIBLE martial arts action (Mugan's style is awesome! hehe, even if it wasn't good enough against the "final boss", lol. Jean's style is more straight-forward swordsmanship, but he's really good at it, hehe). It has some really really good action/battles/fights, but its a long series, with a lot of "lull" episodes, like some good comedy ones too, hehe, or just some "meh-boring" episodes. So, probably many people don't give it the patience and miss out on how good it is.

i gave the vote to bleach, they have too many epic battles and they never really hold back on the violence, especially cutting off their arms
