I read a little bit of Hinamatsuri once, so Idk if the manga is superior, but the anime was great. Therefore:
Hinamatsuri
They slightly skipped stuff and changed the order of things but it's a pretty faithful adaptation.

I'll nominate..

Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu
I STILL can't believe how good this was. An ecchi harem demon lord isekia show from a series nobody has ever heard about. Starring VA's who really hadn't done much of anything. But somehow it all worked and became a show good enough to win our Summer anime league.

Goblin Slayer
This show was one of the riskiest adaptations I can think of. The characters don't even have names. But White Fox pulled off a miracle and delivered a memorable and at times beautiful show. Overdelivering on pretty much every aspect.

Asobi Asobase
The credit for this one should mainly go to the VA's but everybody behind the scenes helped turn what could have been a run of the mill school comedy to one of the most hilarious and bizarre anime of the year.

:XD Is there really that much a difference between this and best anime? Because then I would go with Snk and BnHA if that’s the case.
:questionOr is it basically wanting to know if the anime was better than then manga? <_> In that case, I would lean towards, Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai and Piano no Mori.

Or is this one where they took risk from the source material, then would go with Banana Fish and Goblin Slayer. -_-;

Think this would be more interesting to have a worse adaptation nomination, then I could have my top 5 easily. :s

I took it as a Wins Above Replacement kind of concept.

The question being what adapatation did the best job with the source materiel as opposed to what's the best anime.

Boku no Hero Academia made justice to the manga with its first 2 seasons, but the 3rd outright surpassed it in many many episodes, thats something very rare to see and I hope they keep this line.
