True enough, but I was trying to draw parallels between Code Geass and Death Note specifically. Different settings, but pretty similar themes and subject matter. And I personally feel like Code Geass is inferior in every way.

But yeah, I would have opted for many things before Death Note as well honestly.

Yeah on that matter , even I think Death Note is superior. Unpopular opinion , but I think Code Geass is overrated af. Code Geass is just a generic story with an antihero protagonist you'd find in many novels , nothing original like Death Note.

I liked Code Geass's first season a lot, even though it was really reminiscent of Death Note in many ways. It pretty much completely lost me in the second season though.

I know a lot of people say the same thing about Death Note too, and that it's second arc should have never existed in the first place. But I never really agreed with that.
