Magi lost me during Mainstay, I just had difficulties reading it. Appreciated what it tried to do though. Maybe I should finish it some time.

Haven't read Claymore even still.

Monster and Death Note, definetely. Claymore is also a great manga and has a special place in my memory but the final part could have been better and there were some aspects that wasn't solved in the end, IMHO.

This isn't Manga Wars, so I'm not going to post a lot. Just enough to show you why Monster is the deserving winner of this final FMA is a wonderful story with well done characters, I won't deny that. But Monster is a far more compelling story for me:
Brilliant panels

An amazing lead character in Dr. Tenma. My main issue with him lies in the fact that from the series's beginning to end he was never really tested when it came to taking a life. That doesn't of course take away from him as a character, he's still a brilliantly written lead male:

A really well written female lead. Granted it doesn't have a large female cast like FMA, but Nina is a good lead female for me. Easily one of the best characters in the manga. Her dynamic with Johan, Tenma and her parents makes her entertaining everytime she shows up on screen:

And another female character, Eva Heinmann. She started out as a horrible character (Though her actions weren't exactly unjustified.) But by the end of the series she ended up with some really stellar character development. She stopped being an opportunist and even abandoned drinking:

Went with Monster... maybe I'm still too butthurt from a previous event to help FMA win more stuff.
