First Gen DS vs Dorma Anim - my favourite DS team battle. Up to this point, it is still my head canon that the last combo move the three of them did, all drawn in their parent dragon's form was still a foreshadowing of how DS vs Acnologia should've been handled or ended.


Laxus vs Mystogan - it was a short fight, but a high level one at that. No talking or drama, just two high level S-class exchanging spells after the other.

Erza vs Cobra, Racer, and Hoteye - again, just a short battle. Even though Erza "lost", I still love how she was keeping up with Cobra and Racer while the rest (that includes Natsu, Gray, and Lyon) were getting their asses kicked. It needed Hoteye to change the landscape for them to catch her off guard. That was easily a 3v1 fight. Even Brain acknowledged Erza's abilities. It was a short yet badass scene of her showing the superiority of S-Class mages and just how strong she was compared to the other members of the Alliance.
