Love the whole build up to it, him taking the train, getting stuck in the snow, losing his letter to her, her waiting... And then finally the kiss under the tree! It was a very bitersweet kiss. Plus, after they ended up staying the night at the shed and talking for a really long time, it was so sad that despite the kiss they didn't get to tell each other their feelings. Takaki lost the letter he'd written, while Akari didn't give her letter to him... It was probably during this kiss that they realized that they might never see each other again, which made it all the more bittersweet.
