I bet Frieren is gonna win this with the fandom it has here. I personally weren't so impressed. It's not a bad series, but the further it goes the more it feels like another isekai for me (even if it technically isn't one). But sure, I'll return to it some day after I have more to binge read.

Went with Sakamoto Days. While I do love Monster #8 a lot, it do understand it isn't quite exceptional, atleast yet. Sakamato Days on other hand is really quirky and I've loved the direction it has been going on recently, so I ended up choosing it this time. I do have high hopes for Monster #8 this year though, as it is the point that shonens usually have that first like really big and epic arc (you know, like Alabasta or Chunin Exam).

Now that I think about it though, Sakamoto Days might be riding on wind of The Way of the Husband a little bit. Ex-gang member becoming a a retired funny family-man. But since it's Jump, it goes more to action comedy, instead of slice-of-life approach of Gokushufudou.
