Yes but the original airdate in Japan was 2019. An international release at a later time doesn’t count for this matter. Otherwise blush ray releases in the USA at a later date would count as well and they don’t.

Oof nevermind... Added it for this category after all. Let’s just say it counted for 2020 then.

Well, all that didn't really even matter anyway. Because is there really any other options for the actual winner other than MAPPA?

The answer is no. Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen, Shingeki no Kyojin, God of High School. Their 2020 was tight as hell.
