Easily Akame ga Kill to me. Not perfect or anything, but it usually delivers great action and isn't afraid of characters dying. SAO II was so-so for me so far, when there's action it delivers, outside of that it continues to make the same mistakes it did during Alfheim Online.

I'm going to have to echo these sentiments. Akame ga Kill is a solid action anime willing to take a few risks with its characters. So it gets my support. A lot of SAO II is spent wondering when they're going to get back to what I signed up for.
