Best Summer 2014 Science Fiction Anime

Well Aldnoah Zero isn't perfect, but still the best by far from this list. What I've seen from M3 and Captain Earth was mostly underwhelming. Haven't heard anything good about Argevollen either. Can't really judge Space Dandy S2, but I doubt it's much different from S1, which was "okay".

I voted Aldnoah. Great plot and action, an intriguing world with well thought out, complex politics, and some of the best mecha design in a long time. I love Real Robot style mecha. Good ones don't come a long very often. Argevollen was not as bad as a lot of fans make it out to be, but it wasn't very good either. The rest were really bad.

It is! I vote for Space Dandy 2.

 

[Impossibility]

Aldnoah was a pleasant surprise for me, particularly considering it was the first mecha I've watched in years. There were a few concerns early on, however, it's a pretty strong contender that seems to be edging for a pretty amazing finish.

I voted M3, its pretty compelling with its lightless realm and the necrometalicization.
