Don't mind at all - it's about changes in the synapses of the hippocampus (in a region called the stratum radiatum), specifically related to hemispheric asymmetries based on input-side (if the synapses originate in the left or right hemisphere, they have different morphologies), and how a binding receptor called PirB affects this.

sorry if I can't simplify this too much, it's not one of my easier projects

no - but it was certainly the fastest.
From the first reviewer requests, to my sending in the 'required additional experiments', to them accepting - in like 2 months or so.

Currently have 2 in the works - one I have been waiting on for like 3 or 4 years (collaborator won't finish writing it... or something...)

I mean, I can see how it might be useful, for some things... but [unless you want to put it on your CV/whatever] it seems like a lot of effort for the language equivalent of a swimming badge.
