Smoker was sent to a court-martial after Boa Hancock told the officials (using her charm) that he tried to kill her during the Battle of Marineford. It's the result of a long list of offenses towards the Marine and the World Government (at the Marine Academy, at Logue Town, at Arabasta).

When Bogart learned that Garp resigned, that Smoker was stripped of his marine status and rank, and was going in the New World on his own, he decided it was time for him to go back to this sea. The Moral Justice crew was thus first formed with these two men.

Braham had left Skypiea to discover Jaya, the island of his ancestors. When he understood what kind of place it had become, he decided to leave it and discover how the rest of the Blue Sea was, that's how he ended up in Smoker's way and became his gunner after he was defeated.

After Marshall D. Teach's actions in Marineford were known, Doctor Blackbeard had to flee from his island, as bounty hunters were going after the former Shichibukai's head. In his escape, he met with the famous former Commodore Smoker, who was looking for a doctor, and joined his pirate crew.

When Smoker and his three nakamas went to Water 7 to get a pirate ship, they met with Paulie who made them a ship, the Water Smoke, the ship who will dominate the seas like the smoke and the frog dominate the frightening places. Iceburg could not do anything to help Paulie because of the total amount of debts he had collected, so Paulie was asked to leave Waver 7 for his safety. He joined the Moral Justice Pirates after Smoker defeated some of his creditors.

Wanze after his defeat went to hide on the Sabaody Archipelago because he was reported to have fed Black Leg Sanji and gave him the food that Luffy ate to fight against CP9. He met with the Moral Justice crew in the law-less area just before they went to New World and decided to join them.

They had the Water Smoke coated but Wanze told Smoker that they could not set sail to New World for the moment as they would need special forage to face this sea's dangers. That's how they headed for Boin Archipelago, an amazing place where all kinds of things could be found. They met some strange guy named Heracles leaving there who helped them to find all what a doctor, gunner, shipwright and cook could dreamed of. They understood Heracles had been the prisoner of the Archipelago for years, they asked him if he wanted to sail with them in the New World. That's how he revealed he was a solo yatchsman in the past who travelled as a botanist to discover the world flora.

After Heracles became the last crew member and they managed to leave the Boin Archipelago, they came back before the Red Line and headed for Fishman Island with their already coated ship. That's how the Morale Justice crew began to wreak havoc on the New World, making straight for his legendary fate.

well, i gotta try this...here goes:

first of all: STORY EDIT: the marineford war resulted in the death of whitebeard and disbandment of WB pirates and severe injuries of portgas d. ace and monkey d. luffy....trafalgar law came to rescue firefist ace, luffy and jinbei and they successfully evaded akainu's attack after red hair shanks stopped the war.
the rest of the strawhats are all in the islands where kuma sent them.
now, the heart pirates aided by kuja pirates went to amazon lily to hide the recovering bodies of luffy, ace and jinbei.
1 month had passed and silvers rayleigh came to amazon lily for the purpose of teaching ace and luffy haki techniques...luffy then ventured back to marineford to send a message to his lost nakamas...that they should train in the place where they are and he will gather a new crew to fetch them again.

1. Captain: MONKEY D. LUFFY (element: rubber / type: paramecia) fighting type ^^^

DREAM: to gather his old crew to add to his new crew by sailing the whole world one more time and ultimately be the pirate king and find one piece.
TRAGIC PAST: lost childhood friend sabo and shanks (in the future === who would be killed by blackbeard)
TECHNIQUES: haki of observation, haki of armaments, haki of conquering king, evolved versions of his gomu-gomu no mi (gear second and gear third)
HOW HE JOINED: after gaining his confidence back, he decided to gather a new crew and fetch his old crew before going back to his original plan of obtaining one piece.

PERSONALITY: carefree, innoncent and simpleton...loves meat and merrymaking (best buddies on the ship is ussop, buta and jango)

2. Second Mate (spy, tactician, wiretapper, jailer): WHITE HUNTER SMOKER (element: smoke / type: logia) capture/smoke type.

TRAGIC PAST: admired gol d. roger as child but then his parents were killed by pirates. he since then hated pirates and considered all of them the same.
TECHNIQUES: aside from wielding the sea-stone tipped jutte, smoker got his logia moku-moku no mi and considerably strong armament haki.
HOW HE JOINED: after the events of alabasta mutiny, smoker slowly realizes that luffy is the kind of pirate he idolized as a child, like gol d. roger, luffy got this confidence like no other and the moral code unlike any other pirates...during the punk hazard incident where law took his heart and he and tashigi got their personalities swapped, luffy once again helped him and let him ride on the strawhat's ship. along the way, he witnessed luffy's difference from pirates...and even though he sees luffy's good sides, his pride overcame him and challenged luffy to a duel to capture him...he lost and ordered luffy to kill him, luffy declined and challenged smoker to fight him again when he becomes the pirate king so he can redeem himself...smoker, moved by luffy's words agreed and was getting ready to report back to the G5 headquarters when he got ambushed by another marine official, thats where he knew that the operations of ceasar clown in punk hazard is backed-up by the corrupt officials of WG...he dipped his hands into it and thus he was fired from the marines and was supposed to be executed.
luffy appeared out of nowhere and helped him....luffy invited him to the ship after.

PERSONALITY: serious, honorable and always pissed at luffy....luffy always distract him on his stone-stacking hobby...but always first to fend off for luffy.

3. First Mate: PORTGAS D. ACE (element: fire / type: logia) fire type....well, if there's smoke..there's fire. right?

DREAM: to protect luffy and make him the pirate king.
TRAGIC PAST: lost sabo, portgas d. rouge and whitebeard
TECHNIQUES: mera-mera no mi powers along with strong armament haki.
HOW HE JOINED: after the whitebeard war, ace abandoned his dream of making whitebeard the pirate king and shifted his loyalty to luffy.

PERSONALITY: no-care attitude, sleep-eating disorder

4. Navigator: CAT BURGLAR NAMI (element: lightning,wind / type: NA) electric type

DREAM: to draw the map of the world.
TRAGIC PAST: lost bellemere to arlong pirates.
TECHNIQUES: adept knowledge of using the weatheria clima-tact.
HOW SHE JOINED: one of the 2 original strawhats that was able to meet luffy at amazon lily.

PERSONALITY: bossy, bitchy and hysterical...a money whore.

5. Cook/Chef: ** BUTA **(element: meat / type: paramecia ) steel type

DREAM:[/B] to find the best recipe in the world. (heaven's recipe)
TRAGIC PAST: was driven out of every town becoz of the way he looks, abandoned as a child and mistaken as a monster. his cooking mentor killed in a fire from his carelessness.
TECHNIQUES: uses kitchen utensils to fight.
HOW HE JOINED: luffy literally begged him to join after luffy discovered he acquired the niku-niku no mi (meat fruit) which allows him to turn any kind of object into meat. (the only problem is, he got a monster appetite that he eats the foods even before he serves it to others..which basically starts a fight with luffy and bonney)

PERSONALITY: the biggest and fattest of the crew, his face resembles a pig and in his back is a kitchen wok, cheerful, positive (to hide his insecurities) and obnoxiously gentleman.

6. Sniper (the person who shoot projectiles): CAPTAIN USSOP (element: plant / type: NA ) plant / insect type

DREAM: to be a brave man of the sea and meet yassop.
TRAGIC PAST: lost his mother.
TECHNIQUES: using special plants called pop greens and his slingshot that actually ate a devil's fruit and can transform into a giant stag beetle, his slingshot is a zoan (kabu-kabu no mi) this slingshot was a gift from heracles'n
HOW HE JOINED: one of the 2 original strawhats to reach luffy at amazon lily.

PERSONALITY: pessimistic, coward and childish.

7. Doctor: TRAFALGAR LAW (element: modifications / type: paramecia ) modifications type ^^^

DREAM: to find the "shinigami medicine" which is the medicine to revive his little brothers and sisters in coma.
TRAGIC PAST: failed to save his brother from a grave injury and was a loner since childhood...stood as father and mother to his siblings.
TECHNIQUES: using ope-ope no mi, along with a big nodachi and strong armament haki.
HOW HE JOINED: joined after luffy helped him save his crew from ceasar clown, resigned as a shichibukai and left bepo to be the captain of heart pirates and joined luffy.

PERSONALITY: serious and uninterested.

8. Shipwright: KAKU (element: wood / type: zoan ) slash type

DREAM: to have the ship he built for luffy to reach raftel and back to reverse mountain.
TRAGIC PAST: abandoned as a child and was forced to be a part of cp9 after his step-parents sold him.
TECHNIQUES: adept rokushiki techniques (esp. rankyaku and soru), average swordfighting skills and giraffe fruit.
HOW HE JOINED: luffy met rob lucci and co. accidentally on an island, where they are hiding because of the orders of spandam to assassinate them, luffy would help them defeat this enemy and rescue kalifa who had been abducted by that same group (CP10)...in return as a gratitude, kaku stayed with luffy's crew and built their new ship.

PERSONALITY: always daydreaming.

9. Bombarder (the person who uses the ship's cannon): WIPER (element: impact / type: NA ) impact/shock type

DREAM: to stop enel and meet with montblanc cricket upon sailing around the world.
TRAGIC PAST: parents killed in a war with skypieans
TECHNIQUES: adept use of dials. especially reject dial (which he rarely uses now) he mostly uses impact dial and and boomerang...also jet dials and his burn cannon.
HOW HE JOINED: upon landing on raijin island, luffy met him and discovered that enel came down to blue sea along with his minions and is now a shichibukai, wiper, thinking enel would be there on that island came down to defeat enel personally. he also desires to meet montblanc cricket as a way to honor montblanc norland with him representing their hero calgara.

PERSONALITY: always mad and acts on impulse. he sometimes puts the crew in a bad situation because he blasts anyone in sight (claiming becoz he is the bombarder.)

10. Lookout and Scout: TASHIGI (element: slash / type: NA ) slash type

DREAM: to collect all the grade swords of the world from evil guys.
TRAGIC PAST: was a weakling since childhood and bullied by all people around him eventhough she came from a swordfighting family., cannot protect her parents and was killed by a skilled swordsman...reason why she decided to get all grade words from bad guys.
TECHNIQUES: one-sword technique and new sword she acquired at wano-kuni.
HOW SHE JOINED: joined along with smoker.

PERSONALITY: clumsy, polite and does a not very good job as a lookout.

11. Musician: JANGO (element: impact / type: NA ) psychic type
DREAM: to dance. (.....)
TRAGIC PAST: abandoned by kuroneko pirates (which is pretty funny)
TECHNIQUES: hypnosis.
HOW HE JOINED: luffy invited him after luffy enjoyed dancing on his music.

PERSONALITY: a pretty sucky hypnotist.

12. Striker/Ambush/Salvager: ARLONG(element: water / type: NA ) water type

DREAM: to follow fisher tiger's dream and redeem himself from disgrace.
TRAGIC PAST: lost fisher tiger.
TECHNIQUES: learned fishman karate, adept use of kiribachi and other fishman techniques.
HOW HE JOINED: caught and became a slave of tenryubiito and luffy and saved arlong from it. from there, arlong realized and changed his perspective on humans and swore on fisher's grave that he will redeem himself and work for nami and to fulfill fisher's dream of human-fishman unity.

PERSONALITY: changed a lot and became loyal to luffy and nami. always alone on the side of the ship for he is ashamed of nami.

13. Journalist: JEWELREY BONNEY (element: age alteration / type: paramecia ) artillery type

DREAM: to defeat blackbeard.
TRAGIC PAST: lost whitebeard and ace,which is her fiance...she left the whitebeard crew to search for ace and thus resigning her role as a journalist for WB pirates.
TECHNIQUES: jurei-jurei no mi, along with average gunfighting skills, she owns a rifle named sugar and a pistol named spice.
HOW SHE JOINED: a former slave of gorousei, bonney was forced to keep the gorousei young and strong, reason why she escaped in their custody and was adopted by WB, and gaining protection...she soon became ace's fiance and thats why she left the WB pirates to search for ace while ace is in pursuit of blackbeard....this prompted the gorousei to hunt her down so she can be their slave again, bonney resorted to building up her own crew to fend off attackers.
now after ace and whitebeard's death...bonney quickly jumped on the opportunity to fight BB and lost badly, she was then caught by akainu and imprisoned on the G5 HQ prison,..meanwhile, half of luffy's crew grew old becoz some of them was forced to swallow the tamatebako pills when they fought big mam, luffy being informed that bonney can brng back their age, decided to save bonney and cure his nakamas.
after that, bonney learned that luffy is ace's brother and also longs for revenge of BB. they joined forces for that.

PERSONALITY: obnoxious and vulgar. boyish and eats like a pig. perfect match for luffy.

14. Helmsman: DALTON (element: rush / type: zoan ) power type

DREAM: to know vegapunk's system of giving heat in a snow country.
TRAGIC PAST: guilty of being a part of wapol's reign.
TECHNIQUES: a bison zoan and his unique shovel-like axe.
HOW HE JOINED: during the reverie, in which he assits the representative of drum kingdom (dr. kureha), he met luffy on the way back and decided to come aboard luffy's ship after he told to luffy that the snow in drum kingdom is getting worse.

PERSONALITY: he remember things waaaaaay too late and he apologizes too much.

HOW HE JOINED: made by kaku as a sign of gratitude.

FEATURES: like franky's thousand sunny, it is also made from adam wood and got the same features of sunny such as the gaon cannon, chicken voyage, paddle and coup de burst...but can also transform as a submarine and got a torpedo launcher.
large cannons on the side (much to wiper's delight)....and also got compartment for a waver, a mini-submarine, digging machine, shopping mini-merry and compartments for ace and smoker's vehicles.
large bath house, built in aquarium and other amenities are complete...like bute's kitchen, law's operating room and medicine house and nami's mikan and weather ball farms.
it also got a winter room for dalton and cloud room for wiper...basically their rooms resembles their hometowns and got whatever they need.

Negotiator- Kuzan: After he realized that the world government was corrupt he left it. When he heard that an old friend of his (me) started a pirate crew he joined it and became the crews negotiator
Scientist- Caesar Clown: After he killed Smiley he felt remorse and searched for a way to pay for his actions. When I invited him onto my ship he joyously agreed and on the ship he gives redemption to those who sinned just like how I offered him redemption for his sins
Informant- Sabo: After Sakazuki killed Ace and badly injured Luffy he joined my crew because he heard I wanted to kill Sakazuki. Now he gets us information through the revolutionary army.
Defense- Bartolomeo: After he got captured by Shanks because he burned Shanks flag down My crew and I rescued him and out of gratitude him along with his whole crew joined with his crew joining my grand fleet and him joining my crew. It's an added bonus that Luffy- Senpai's brother is on the crew too.
Logkeeper- Bartholomew Kuma: One day when I was staging an attack on the world nobles I found him and convinced him to join my crew by reminding him of the freedom he used to have.
Night Watchmen- Inuarashi: He joined to get revenge on Kaido
Shipwright- Franky: Same way as Luffy.
Helmsman and Rigger- Jinbe: Same way as Luffy.
Teacher- Rayleigh: I just asked my Uncle (My character is the son of Scopper Gaban) to join and he said yes.
Cook- Streusen: He joined because he thought I could bring him more power than Big Mom.

Surgeon- Trafalgar D. Water Law: I used to live in Flevance and was one of his teachers for 2 years until I was 20 before I became a pirate.
Quartermaster, Beast Tamer, and Day Lookout- Shirahoshi: She joined after I saved her mother from fishmen bandits.
Cat Burgular- Jewelery Bonney: She heard we were after Blackbeard and joined us to get revenge. Her crew became part of my grand fleet and she joined my crew.
Archaeologist- Nico Robin: We met while she was on the run and I helped her and gave her food. When I heard I was leaving to Flevance we made a pact that we would reunite 20 years later(Back then we were 10). We met 20 years later the same way Luffy and Robin did.
Fortune Teller- Kozuki Toki: After her speech she went forward in time 18 years and landed right in front of us. When I told her that we were going to fight Kaido she forcefully joined.
Sniper, Bombarder, and Blacksmith- Usopp: Same way as luffy
Doctor- Chopper: Same way as luffy
Musician and Comedian- Brook: Same way as luffy
Pet- Laboon: Joined after I broke the red line and he saw Brook again.
Cabin Boy- Momo

Ship- Ocean Explorer: A ship Franky made to explore all the oceans.
Notes: I am a master at all haki but I specialize in Conquerors. I have a Seastone trident that can multiply up to 10 and 10 guns with a never ending supply of Seastone bullets(It does this by magic). Kuzan was also a teacher at Flevance. That's where we met. Caesar Clown always butts heads with Sugar because he wants to give bad guys redemption and Sugar wants to kill them. Sabo sometimes leaves to do Revolutionary Army work. Bartolomeo always tries to make the ship Luffy themed. Bartholomew Kuma reprogrammed some Pacifista to become part of our Grand Fleet. Instead of Inuarashi I was originally going to put Mihawk but I didn't want to interrupt his love-making session with Perona. Franky only joined cause I needed a shipwright. Jinbe only joined because my character wanted to learn fishman karate. Rayleigh and Inuarashi always lounge on the deck on lounge chairs. Streusens DF is as powerful as Sugars. He is also voiced by Nico Santos. Sanji was originally not going to be here but then I had to add Nami and Nami will end up with Sanji. Nami is best friends with Jewelry Bonney because Jewelry Bonney gets her money. Nami interrogates people by saying that if they give her their money she will give them the happiness punch. Bonney also sneaks us into places by making us look like old people. Me and Nico Robin get together at the end of the series. Toki also joins to see her kids. Ussop joined only because I like his character. Brook joined because of the same reason as Ussop. At first when it was only me, Kuzan, and Sugar we had a regular paddleboat. Then when Usopp, Sanji and Nami joined we used the remenants of Arlongs ship to build the Black Manta, a ship with a Manta Ray figure head. Then after the events of Ennies Lobby and Chopper, Franky, and Robin joined we built the Black Pearl a ship that is big as the Moby Dick with a Dragon figure head that has a pearl in its mouth. It has the powers of the thousand sunny. Then during the timeskip Franky built a ship called the Atlantic Sailer that is the size of both the Moby Dick and Noah combined. It had all the powers of the Black Pearl and it had Rocket Launchers, Bazookas, Cannons, and Miniguns on it and it had a Narwhal figure head. Then after Brook, Jinbe, Rayleigh, Shirahoshi, Law, Caesar Clown, Bartolomeo, and Sabo joined Franky built the Ocean Explorer a ship that was the size of the Atlantic Sailer and Thriller Bark combined and had a Shark figure head. The Ocean Explorer had all the powers of the Atlantic Sailer but could also turn into a jet, a submarine, a tank, a sports car, and a megazord. Additionally if you move the fin on the figure head it makes a special cannon for each character. For example, Kuzans special cannon shoots ice and Sugars shoots explosive toys. Sanji's shoots fire and Nami's shoots the stuff in the Clima Tact. They also have compartments in the ship with special Jet Ski's to get them across water undetected. It can also be used for fun. They also have special rooms for their powers. Ussop has a room where he can grow pop greens and create other things he can shoot. Kuzan has a room filled with lava which he has to cool down fully. The room where they sleep is modeled to look like their hometown and they can change how it looks and what temperature it is to their wish. After the series Franky builds 23 more Ocean Explorers and on these are the 24 divisions of the Sparrow Pirates. These divisions have Katakuri and Doflamingo level characters. The 24 division commanders on the main crew have power over 30 people. He also built 210 Atlantic Explorers and the captains of these ships are the division commanders of the grand fleet. Each division commander of the grand fleet has authority over 1,000 people. The commanders gets 1,000 people from the Atlantic Explorer which are the divisions. They can have any amount of power but the most powerful are Jack or Rob Lucci level
