Question Did Oda ever see Indiana Jones?

Specifically Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

The reason why I think Oda may have seen it is because
Shanks giving his Strawhat to Luffy in Chapter 1
is pretty similar to the thief giving the Fedora to Indiana Jones

both Indiana and Luffy get cool iconic hats

both are given by a cool guy who operates outside the law


both Indiana and Luffy go on adventures

archaeology plays a big role in both series

Both Indy and Luffy really value their hat


Of course there are differences. Shanks is seen on the very rare occasion
in the story while the thief never really shows up again in Indiana Jones

and yes I know there are likely other series with very similar scenes.

but still I think it would be cool if Indiana Jones inspired One Piece.
