First, it is a wrong culture. Long ago the tradition of Thai people not have sex before getty married.
Seccond, encouragea to have sex in school. Students need to learn not to have sex. Students are not ready to have sex.
Finally, condom is not neccssary to be sold in the Universities. The University is a place of learning. Outside have selling
In condusion, condom ,it is not good. It encourages students to have sex.
Do you agree with selling condoms in Universities?

I disagree with you two. In my Culture it is normal to have Sex during your Highschool time or college Time. And i don't think that this is a Bad Thing. I respect the opinion of people who don't want do have Sex until they are married - but i would like that my opposite opinion is respected too. So eveyone and every Culture has its Own way how they handle things - and i think this should Be respected. And protected Sex is netter than unprotected sex - so im for the Sale of condoms at universities - and BTW in Germany you can them buy at the university. Sorry for the failures but I Write from my mbobile phone.

I think this is a good idea as people in universities are usually at least seventeen. Unless there's a law that asks for a person or two to be beheaded for doing it in an university, it most likely will happen. At least with providing condoms, those that engage in sexual activity will have protection and pregnancy is less likely to happen. If you can't stop something like sexual intercourse, you might as well try to make sure the people do about it in a safe way. Condom is safer than nothing.

Whether they are selling condoms in universities or not, doesn't prevent people from having sex. It is better to provide condoms then not, to prevent the spread of STDs, STIs, and pregnancy. Of course there are those that would rather hold off on sex, but there is also the slightly larger population of those that do.

If there is no rubber people are still going to have sex.

I agree with the last few posters. Condoms don't make people have sex with people, people make people have sex with people. /wut

But really, even if it isn't encouraged in your culture, surely you would rather that people do it safely, if they're doing it already. Promoting unprotected sex, or rather, making it harder to have protected one, is helping spread a lot of misery and illness. I don't think too many people would want that, even if they don't agree with college students having sex.

I don't see anything negative in selling condoms at universities. A lot of young people (including me) don't really bother whether or not a condom is used or not. I know that I try to always have one but if I don't, then I don't care really (I'm not a dick, I make sure she's clean and on pills...) and if they would've sold 'em at uni, then the usage would have increased and the amount of std's would've decreased.

It's not like you are forced to have sex just because someone's selling condoms so I can't see your argument being valid there since you're not forced nor encouraged to smoke because your groc. store sells cigarettes and it's the same principle. And if it's not in your culture to have sex before marriage, then it doesn't matter if they sell condoms or not since people won't use it? Also, I'm sure you have people at your uni who aren't following your "culture" or "norm" as I'd rather refer it to.

Also, why wouldn't University students be ready for sex? Your body is ready from like, the age of 15 and at uni you're at least 19 years and most of the students are 21 and above.

I don't see a problem with that. Actually in sweden, a country I like for almost everything exept for their high beer prices, there even was some kind of erotic expo at their universities on a day. Ok, that seems kinda weird to me but shows an extreme I'ld say :amuse

Also I already heard of a pornography director study path, don't remember which country that was anymore, and a female german literature professor visiting prostitutes at brothels with her classes as she says that people have to know such places in order to write well and beeing able to stick closely to reality when creating a scenario.
I really don't have any issues with anything of that. I wouldn't study such a thing but if people like to do so, why not.

In my culture, a university where condoms are sold will definitely be reported on. First of all, I think it is improper to sell those kinds of stuffs in a school. A school is a place for education and we should leave it at that.

Should condoms be sold, they should be sold at drug stores, clinics, or hospitals where they are appropriately sold.

Edit: I agree that condoms should be sold but NOT in a university for me.

I have to say I agree with universities selling condoms. People will have sex, whether they can get them or not. I'd feel better knowing they are available to help prevent unwanted pregnancies and STDs. As far as selling them at other places instead of at like the University Health Center is that a lot of times students may not have a way to get to places off campus to buy them. By having them in a place where they can be accessed if needed it keeps them a bit safer than they would have been. I know my university provides them in the Student Health Center for all students, free of charge. When I was a freshman people would actually come around the dorms handing them out to promote safe sex awareness too.

Condoms have to be selled. Whether to use them or not is what you decide yourself. I'll say even more. Condoms have to be given for free. I'm not joking here. And starting from the age where boys/girls already can have sex, meaning 13/14. They aren't 3/4 year olds. They can already decide themselves whether they are ready to use those kind of things or not.

I don't want to be off-topic but isn't 13 a little too early?

Don't want to sound pedo, but they can already have sex at that age, so why should they be forbidden to do so? I mean amongst themselves :fail

No pedobear here

It is still too early IMO.
13 is not when you should be having sex :s and
I don't think people who have sex at 13 even know what they are doing.
But yeah, its better to have condoms. Safe than sorry.

...13 happens to be the age of consent for japan...

And yes, why not sell condoms in unis? The only difficulty will be buying them from dudes who know you...I'd imagine it's a lot less embarassing to buy from some back alley pharmacy...

I don't personally see any reason to not do it. It's not like people will be having less sex if they are less available (people aren't that smart). Worst case scenario will be people going a little farther away to get them or the absolute worst case scenario were people have unprotected sex.

I agree with alphabeta here. Condoms should be for free especially if they're sold at an university.
But in general it's a good idea. Protection is important. Unfortunately some people don't care.

At my university, you can get them for free at several places on campus. By university, I think most students already have pretty firm beliefs about sex before marriage. If you're against it, giving you free condoms won't make you start doing it. But if you are for it, having easy access to protection will keep you safe.

Even in the most conservative of countries, there will always be people who start having sex before marriage. Giving them condoms is not only protecting them but also protecting you in case you marry them in the future without knowing their sexual history.

I don't feel it's like that here. No shame involved, at the very least for guys ;)
