I will never forgive Isayama for this dialogue. The anime improved the finale a lot, but still kept this line.

So, we just learned that Whyman also has feelings. Nothing particularly important happened. It feels like this series could go on forever TBH.

It ended with the same message.

Not a fan of not getting a definite resolution to whyman sending a petrification beam from a billion years into the future to byakuya but I suppose this is a fitting end. Almost feel bad for whyman but it doesn't look like his species' lifespan is actually infinite. If they can rust on earth then it tracks that their lifespans in space would be merely enormously longer but not eternal.
