Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuioku-hen (Ova) 1999 a must-see :zomg
Introduction of Ova 1 beware, it's much more brutal than the anime, Ost is gorgeous and animation epic considering it's a 1999 anime.

This memorable last scene from Ova1

City Hunter (1988)

Edit for typo+ add video

Future Boy Conan (directed by Hayao Miyazaki)

Takarajima (directed by Osamu Dezaki, the same character designer as LotGH and Rose of Versailles and the most badass version of John silver)

Going off what I enjoyed in my childhood and what I've watched of pre-2000's anime, I'll nominate Astro Boy (1960's series and the 1980's series) and Voltron: Defender of the Universe. These were my first anime, and I really enjoyed them as a kid, and I still enjoy them today.

Wow! Someone other than me voted for Takarajima and Future Boy Conan! Glad to see that LotGH made it to the next round. While it's kind of popular as a classic anime, I wonder if it can compete against the more known Cowboy Bebop and the rest. Cowboy Bebop is a nice anime and I've been thinking of rewatchng it, and Pokemon is cute and brings some good memories.

Oh this is a hard decision to make. With so many great classic anime, how am I suppose to choose? :Haha

I guess I will vote for Pokemon as I have always loved this TV series which has been going on for so long. It is also well-loved by children (and adults as well) for many generations. It is still popular at this moment. For myself, I wouldn't mind to watch it again and again. :^_^

Thinking back, I'm surprised that Doraemon isn't part of the list. I wonder why. This super-long series, started since 1969 as manga and subsequently serialised in 1973 as animation, is still an ongoing TV series till this day. It has also been translated and dubbed in many languages featuring in many parts of the world. ;)

The other one would be Gundum series which has also been my all times favourite.

Oh well, I have missed the nomination round. But hopefully I will be able to participate next time.

Thanks everyone for your time and effort in making the contest/award successful. :^_^
