Karin is a character that (from my observations) is a bit unnerving at first but finally grows on people. It's a pity that the moment I start thinking, "Wow, she's actually a pretty awesome character", she has less screen time.

Semi-OT: One thing I wish Kishimoto-sensei would have done differently was to make Nagato and Karin have the same grey tone as Kushina's hair. Their hair colour is almost the same shade so it's strange that Kushina's hair would be the only one lighter in monochrome. It really threw me out of the loop when Nagato was shown to have red hair.

Lol you just wrote my same exact thoughts, it would be nice to see her being given some help i mean i think she's bi***y and cynical for a reason im pretty sure of that, in the chuunin exam she looked nice and gentle lol way to change. Lol i bet konoha grows on her and she helps out in the future or goes back with her tem deep down she's okay.
You dont know how many thoeries on K and K being related there are, well actually you probably do xD

I agree about redheads being somewhat rare IRL. Even when you do find one, they sometimes get criticized and stereotyped.

On TVTropes, Eustass Kid (ONE PIECE) is labelled as both the Fiery and the Evil Redhead. He's one character I really want to see more of, and I'm sure he'll be a fierce rival against Luffy later on.

Maruko (Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou) is not as extreme as Kid is, but she's shown to be feisty compared to the other robots who are more mellow.

Probably I've mentioned it somewhere, but on the top of my head right now the most memorable redhead for me is Makise Kurisu from Steins;Gate. I've been looking forward to see the new Steins;Gate movie, hopefully she's awesome in that movie as well.
