Well, the fact that Coby awakened Haki isn't anything special. He only awakened it. And even if he learns a bit of it it still won't change the fact that when he was last shown he didn't have any technique apart from weak Soru. And in order to take even pre-timeskip Usopp down he would need way more than this. Not even talking about post-timeskip.
Before timeskip Coby was a sore weakling who only got to Marinford to see how useless he is in terms of power compared to elites. Before timeskip Coby and Helmeppo combined were absolutely no match for even Kalifa who was the weakest in CP9 and well how do you expect him to win against Usopp who already experienced Rokushiki techs from way stronger users?
Also Haki isn't a magic... Boa sisters fought against Luffy in a team with quite an advanced Haki and we still no match and they were quite proficient in Haki...
