Couldn't participate much, but Yami should decisively win this going by current feats (although we still don't know how strong current Fuegoleon is and if he has improved or not). His attacks are way more lethal and he has shown better physical stats than Fuegoleon overall. Death Thrust most likely one-shots if it cleanly lands since it was able to completely obliterate 80% Dante's whole torso (who should be above all the other Captains, at least with the current info we have).

Things could change a little bit if Fuegoleon has improved and has good showings against the Dark Triad or people around that level, but until that happens, Yami wins with around Mid Diff IMO.

Post ts he wins easy.

Honestly I think Fuego and Yami are at around the same level so not really sure who’ll win this.

I’m leaning slightly towards Yami but that might be because I like him more.

Yami does as well as he does against devils because of the arcane nature of his magic, against a human opponent he might not be as devastating. But again he is still Yami, he does have mana zone and dimension slash.

But Fuego does have the mana of a Royal and Salamader...

It is a tough one.

I definitely think they’re the 2nd and 3rd strongest magic captains right now but who’s stronger ?

Wow all y'all going for Yami, huh. Well here is my impassioned defense of Fuegoleon Vermillion's chances.

Ok, who am I kidding, going Yami. I'm pretty on board with Shadowlord's reasoning. I guess Fuegoleon could make it interesting a bit, keeping his distance and using Salamander, but I don't think there is anything Yami can't handle. I feel it's only a matter of time before he lands that thrust, and sends Salamander spirited away once again, along with Fuego.

As said, Yami takes this. Between his ability to basically negate range magic for a short time and Fuegoleon appearing to have less endurance then his sister, Yami merely has to wait to the right moment and strike from afar.
