As this event is celebrating 10 years of the series, please note this spans from the first official chapter of the decade; ch569, released in 5th Jan 2009 and the decade ends with ch966, officially released 23rd Dec 2019.

Also worth noting that only manga material are relevant to this event when it comes to nominating. However for referencing/ promotional purposes feel free to use anime pictures.

As we've lost our regular sources for reading the series, our main source for this event in terms of material will be Mangasee.

There are many dragons on the vast seas of the world of One Piece. Kaido the Beast, Momonosuke the true Shogun of Wano, the artificial dragons of Punk Hazard. Even the great mythical beast the legendary samurai Ryoma himself cut down in the old legends. But among all these triumphant stories, one diligent and noble dragons song is often left unsung. This dragon is called Ryunosuke.

Born from the great artistic mind and craftsmanship of “Evening Shower” Kanjuro, a retainer of the legendary shogun Oden Kozuki and member of the admired Nine Red Scabbards, Ryonosukes sole meaning and purpose for existence is safely carry the future Pirate King Monkey D. Luffy and his allies up to the back of the ancient gigantic elephant Zunesha. To the height of over 35 kilometers (almost 22 miles)!

Not only was this dragon brave enough to face this challenge, he was also extremely adorable. The cuteness of Ryonosuke was even acknowledged by the world-renowned coldblooded assassin “The Demon Child” Nico Robin.

Ryonosuke the Dragon mustered all his strength to achieve his noble task. At the peak of Zunesha, just before the gates to mysterious mink nation of Zou, Ryonosuke gave a final spurt and got the Pirate King and his entourage to their destination.

The valiant effort however drained him of his remaning life-force. But the gargantuan task was accomplished.

The fellowship was left mourning. A great hero was eternally lost from their lives.

So why should you vote for the courageous dragon for the “Funniest Moment of the Decade”?

Thank you all for your support this far. The spirit of the diligent dragon is no doubt very honored and humbled by this success!

However, Ryonosukes diligence, effort, valiance, elegance, cuteness and grace deserves much more! We can still make Ryonosuke achieve the glory his sacrifice in the journey of the Pirate King truly deserves!

Ryonosukes foe sure is an admirable one as well. The long-nosed brave warrior of the seas sure has given us the times of our lives for over two decades! I do not underestimate his feats and undeniable holiness. His moments are truly moments of greatness.

However, that brave warrior has already in his short life-spawn achieved much glory. The King of Snipers. Vice-Captain of the legendary Straw-hat Pirates. A God. Yet he is still so young and might achieve even more! Greater things! Greater awards! He still has so much to give us. He is gift that keeps on giving.

The brave dragon Ryonosuke doesn't have any of that. His spirit may life on in all of us, but he is no longer. He gave his everything for that one moment. That single moment of greatness. This is his only chance. The only thing he was created for. His purpose in life.

GLORY FOR RYONOSUKE THE DRAGON!

MAY NOT HIS SACRIFICE BE IN VAIN!
