At this point what Gintama offers has been stated many times over since the beginning of this competition, and it really is a beautiful series, so despite what your vote will be in this match-up, hopefully the campaign has been enough to get some of you to try it out if you haven't already.

HxH, the same, least Killua, Kurapika and Komugi's death and Meruem's sorrow.
Gintama, leaving only fights and gag only for a small fraction that knows popular culture.

Well I really love Gintama, and both it's comedy and drama are quite strong, but I think what makes the difference for me is that at it's highest points, Hunter x Hunter moved me more than Gintama did. They're both on a pretty high level in my eyes, but Hunter x Hunter packs an insane punch when it goes all in.

When Gon confronted Pitou (and I'm not talking about him going ham, but the speech when Pitou was taking care of Komugi) it gave me goose bumps. Still does, whenever I rewatch that scene.

The whole Komugi/Meruem plot was simply amazing, now that's character development you won't find often, because it was pulled of flawlessly. Everything from the beginning until the (bitter) end.

Also think Gon and Killua have a really strong chemistry, one of the best I can recall in any shounen adventure I've read so far. Never thought they became cringey or annoying, but always complementing each other in a way that enhances their individual character.

There are many more moments I could name, and Gintama is by no means without strong highlights too (Yoshiwara or Courtesan), but Hunter x Hunter simply has this certain something that glues you to the screen once things kick off. Long story short, it has my vote.

Clash of the battle Shounen kings! Gotta give it to Gintama but I haven't yet read the HxH manga. I'd rather start reading it after finishing the upcoming anime adaptation. Same with Magi and Attack on Titan. My patience is running out dammit..
