Anime Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission (new film, 27/12/2013)

Amazing announcement guys! Lets use this thread to discuss the upcoming second film of Isaak Netero and Heaven's Arena.

I think that the film will coincide with Netero's re-emergence in the series and reveal that he is infact one of the floor masters of Heaven's Arena!!

The movie could focus on Netero during his prime fighting his way all the way to the top of Heavens Arena earning his place as a floor master showing us the viewers how he received the title being the strongest nen user 50 years prior to the start of the series.

aawww myyy gooood, i want that, i want it so much.

It's funny, i always disliked movies from manga i liked, i disliked the one piece movies for example, but THIS is epic.

Maybe it is because the main series is released so uncommonly, but i long for more spin offs, i want the story of netero, i want stuff like the kurapica flashback.

Maybe we will even see a movie with 'the story of jairo'? <:
Probably not, it will be in the manga, but i could imagine many characters who are worth to have their own movie.

May it be gin, biscuit, the zodiac, kaito's training to be a hunter, or even just the hunters exam of those people.

Very wary of anything not penned by the original author, particularly with something like HxH. I guess if it sucks too bad you could always just assume it isn't part of the canon though.

Omg I'd like to think of this as where he meets Maha Zoldyck and they have an epic all out brawl in the arena because they both want to find someone who can challenge them.

Guess Hunter x Hunter is making up for all the years it's been out (1998) but been deprived of having a film adaption. Either that or Madhouse wants to make another low budget movie that will bring in enough money it can use to keep up the quality of the TV adaptions budget and animation.

But....Gon and Killua on the promotional poster? No Kurapika and Leorio? I'm actually getting alittle sick of Hunter x Hunters other two main characters always being pushed to the side-lines.

I have mixed feelings about this The Sket Dance anime was pretty good, on the other hand the Hunter x Hunter OVA's were rather average. As long as this really turns out to be about Netero I shall look forward to it, but who knows. After the first movie and it's shift on focus from Kurapika to Killua this could very well turn out to be about Beans in the end

Oh great! Another movie focus on Gon x Killua.I like them and all but give Leorio and Kurapika some time to shine.

Second impression:
The plot actually sound pretty good but I'm afraid the execution of the film could be bad. So, I'm not exactly looking forward to it.

I have mixed feelings about this movie as well. The plot sounds really interesting (more interesting than the last one, IMO), but I'm afraid it will be poorly executed like the last one... I sincerely hope they do Netero justice.

I'm sad about the absence of Kurapika and Leorio... but who knows? Maybe they'll show up anyway?

It's felt like it's been forever! since I've post here Been busy with personal crap, but after hearing about the news! I had to come here and pay a visit, haha. I'm so excited! The last movie was okay, but I have a whole lot more faith that this movie will be better, and the plot sounds interesting. Also Netero looks so badass! in the poster
