As the title says. Hunter X Hunter ranked 17 on Oricon top 50 best selling manga from 12/2009 to 06/2010 with 436k sold for volume 27.

Top three:
One Piece volume 57 sold 2.37 mil
Fullmetal Alchemist volume 25 sold 1.27 mil
Naruto volume 49 sold 1.17 mil

Bleach at 8th place with 743k sold for volume 44

for series that sold around the same number as HxH
16th place D-Grayman volume 20 sold 450k
18th place Bakuman volume 6 sold 420k

Noted that the sales numbers are affected by time of release.

Well, i'm reading Bakuman, and it's says when a manga gets 15th place or higher, it gets cancelled, of course it's only when the manga is new. HXH has like 10 years so it's not gonna be cancelled but it's kinda dissapointed knowing a good manga like HxH is on 17th place ¬¬ it's all because this damn hiatus! This series for me would be like among the 7 best series...
damn you Togashi, but please, give us our HxH soon!!

PD: i dont speak english ò,ò

In bakuman the 15th place or worse result in cancellation is for Jump magazine itself. This oricon chart is for ALL manga that gets published in that time frame across all publisher and magazines. In fact it's quite a good performance consider the amount of hiatus there is.

You're thinking of the Jump table of contents. This is the Oricon Charts, with which we can see what are the highest rating manga in terms of sales. The Jump ToC is an index, in which the order of the magazine's series is determined by popularity and colour pages.

Care to mention source ?
Because Oricon had released chart for 1st half of 2010. But they covered sales from November 23, 2009 to May 23, 2010. HxH-27 is at rank 10 with 918,059 copies sold.

And your list is from 12/2010 to 06/2010 .

Edit(9/3)----
I think this one is a slightly newer chart published more recently, since I only found the list a week ago. It's noted that the chart only takes the volume with highest sales in that period from any series, and the sample time is pushed back one month in line with other oricon chart. The sales figure would therefore be slightly different.

But anyway it doesn't really mean much other then noting the general trend.
You missed the point of my post.

Who knows the list /data you posted is true or not, since you didn't post source.
I don't want to make a new post for same thing.
