Help I want to translate

Hi, I'm a new translator...and I'd like to start translating a work. I have no idea how people are getting their chapters to translate. Basically I'm keen to get working but I don't know where to start. Do people recruit translators? Um, are you recruiting, do you need another translator? Message me yeah. Or, anyone who knows how this works. I'm very new to forums.
