Well, it's already time consuming for our mods to keep an eye on their sections for rule violations, we simply don't have time to explain all mod actions one by one to the users. Moreover, from past experience, people who ask for explanations usually don't like the explanation they get and tend to prolong the discussions, there's not much we can do about it, at the end of the day we need to make a decision and we know some people may not be happy with those decisions despite our best efforts.
Mods already help out members who occasionally contact them and ask about their deleted posts and such, as long as people are civil and understand that mods have the final say on disagreements, no problems occur. Mods don't act on their own, they often exchange opinions with other mods and we, as the staff, try to determine the best way to follow. We work hard to maintain a friendly discussion environment and we expect members to help us in that regard by following the rules, which is in the best interest of all parties.
