Come down here to discuss your favourite JPop or JRock groups, or both while you're at it!!!!

Right now I'm listening to abingdon boys school, Spitz, UVERworld, and KAT-TUN.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the J-Music Show thread!

The J-Music Show will be a mix of J-music, interviews, information about J-music, and many other fun topics regarding Japanese music and the fans of it here on MH.

All J-music styles (pop, rock, hip hop, etc.) will be heard and talked about in the show. The purpose of this thread is to get to know other J-music fans, learn and talk about J-music, listen to the favorite J-songs here on the site, and more importantly to have fun. :)

Q & A:

What songs will be posted in this thread? Just like in a radio show, the songs played during the program are picked based on listener requests; I will post videos of J-songs suggested/posted by you, the members of the site.

How do I request a song? You can post a J-song in any of the threads of this board or if you want, you can send me a PM with the name of the song, the artist/band who sings it and a link to the song.

What interviews will be posted in this thread? I will post interviews about J-musicians/artists, but I will also post interviews about the J-music fans here on MH.

Who will be the DJ? I will be the first DJ of the show, but if you are interested in becoming one too, please send me a PM so that you can also become one.

When will you post the songs? I will post the songs at the end of the week.

Can I write a comment about the songs posted in this thread? Sure, you are more than welcome to do so!

Can I write a comment about artists/bands I would like to see some information about? Sure, you can write a comment or send me a PM about it.

Okay. Now that some questions have been answered, let’s officially start this show!

Re: JPop/JRock Thread

I personally enjoy MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, old-school Malice Mizer and The Back Horn --- to name a few.

Yeah, I really liked Wana -- it strangely reminds me of old SOAD in some way. My second favorite song from them would have to be Cobalt Blue.

Re: JPop/JRock Thread

It's from their album "Headphone Children", which next to their Black album (aka "The back Horn" album) was one of their best.

Re: JPop/JRock Thread

Just listened to 'Cobalt Blue', didn't quite like it. Thought that the sound was too unlike their style. What did you think about it?

Re: JPop/JRock Thread

It is a bit different from their current style, as it's one of their older songs. However, I like the the overall sound of the song. Though I agree that I prefer their current style better.

Yeah, same here. Wana was such a good single, hope they keep the same sound.

T.M Revolution is alright, though very geared towards Japanese girls (though that sounds negative). Very poppy personally, but it's ok. I haven't heard of Ellegarden, though I'll look them up tonight.

LOST REASON is really good, so is DESIRE, Desert Rose, and DOWN TO YOU. Ellegarden are pretty good, especially if you're looking for a punk rock band who have a very American sound to them. Their English songs are quite good as well. T.M. Revolution is okay, very poppish just like Blasphemy said in the post before. Ignited is a good song, so is vestige-VESUTIIJI-.

BTW, have you heard the new L'Arc album, KISS?? Is it good?? Wanted someone else's opinion on it before I go and download it.

Re: JPop/JRock Thread

i`m actually surprised that no one said Susumu Hirasawa so far... o_O i think he`s got some of the greatest live music ever and even his work with P-Model was great, even if it was actually electro music... :)

Re: JPop/JRock Thread

I'm still trying to 'discover' what I really like for japanese music, lately I've been listening to Polysics, Soul'd out and some m-flo. Yeah, my taste is kinda weird. >_>
