It was that right there that made me stop reading One Piece for a couple weeks... All the wasted chapters that were used to explain his childhood and all the chapters that ended with cliffhangers about his motivation... They all seemed pointless... I've never felt that disappointed after reading a One Piece chapter...

In every kind of storytelling I hate hypnosis, mirror refection and tiny almost invincible wires. These techniques are mostly used as a ass-pull techniques, thus I hate them. Not to mention they are overused in all manga. I mean u can find a variation in almost every shounen manga. Having that in mind I was truly disappointed as Laffitte explained how the marine vessels passed through the gate of justice.

So I nominate Laftitte's ability hypnosis. I also dislike BB having a second fruit, but this comes first.

This. Made Hody look like a shitty villain and a bad arc even worse.

But that is the point, unfounded hate that lived on till now, things not experienced even by the current generation, aggression based on hearsay, an important topic just as in our world. He grew up in the time when Whitebeard made it a safe place. But opinions are opinions. That just a call to attention, I don't want to discuss it any further, as it's been in the specific chapter threads.

It just feels like a cheat, his new ability to even transfer those powers from a character to another might even be the least favorite moment...

I believe u missed the point. WB's men protecting his back had a deeper meaning. I think this is one of OP's great moments.

Oda: Upon the proud back of this legendary man... Or indeed, upon his very life as a pirate... He bears not a single wound of cowardice!!!

Zoro: A wound of one's back is the shame of a swordsman.
Mihawk: Splendid!

WB's men were protecting his back, his pride. His back defines his pride; a man who never run away, who always fought his enemies head on. Only a coward turns his back to his opponent. This also matches Zoro's behaviour in his encounter with Mihawk.
