Loona (sometimes stylized as LOOΠΔ) is a South Korean girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. Its 12 members were revealed in a periodic fashion, corresponding to their Korean name Idarui Sonyeo (이달의 소녀 or shortened to Idalso), which translates to "Girl of the Month". Each member was revealed during an extensive 18 month pre-debut project in which each member had their own solo debut, formed the 3 sub-units - Loona 1/3, Loona OddEyeCircle, and Loona yyxy, and finally debuted as the full 12 member group on August 19th, 2018 with "Hi High". Most of the 30+ MVs in their videography are interconnected through an overarching story concept, referred to as the LOONAVERSE. Loona has no official group positions outside of the sub-unit leaders.

Why is it Olivia Hye instead of just Olivia?

There's a lot of theories behind it at least, relating to the character Olivia in Shakespeare's The Twelfth Night - she's the "12th" member, as well as her color being Silver/Black and her animal being a wolf relating to "Night" (As well as her status in the lore being that of an outcast). The creative director at the time would frequently pepper in these kinds of references so fans are used to looking for them. It could have also been that it sounded interesting to Koreans, who knows. Why they stuck Hye in there, no idea really. Every member has at least a part of their real name in their stage name (besides Yves, but that's another rabbit hole), so could be that.

Nothing like this has ever been confirmed, but as she probably has the longest name ever in Kpop, she prefers people call her Hyejoo lol

I'm not really a fan of the Red concept songs in general... at least I don't like them anywhere close to the Velvet ones.

I think Olivia was a stylistic choice for that reason, but II don't think her name being long really makes it formal, just cumbersome maybe.

There's still too many people who delude themselves over this term though. There's a difference between claiming that this means something and just not liking a comeback as much... they refuse to admit that this is the issue. It's similar to people claiming the lore is dead, when this teaser alone has more lore in it than the entire Butterfly MV.

Their first EP and it's repackage might have had a similar sound, but it's not like it was identical to their pre-debut stuff either. Instead they bash on Lee Soo Man as if fans wouldn't have set BBC's offices on fire if they found out they were approached by him to produce their music and turned it down. Even more so since they were left with a barren A&R department when their previous creative director left. I guess they think it more ideal to wait even longer than a year and go with someone other than the person responsible for the Hallyu Wave and dozens of hit songs/albums. Would they have had 2 comebacks this year without him? Wtf would it have even sounded like? Maybe I would understand them more if I disliked #, but I thought it was great and I don't really get how anyone could think differently if they're fans of the group. And that's coming from someone whose enjoyment doesn't live and die with whether I'm in love the title track or not.

A very weird but still Loona track to me. Sort of the same reaction some had to So What. Nice beat, and another dream-like bridge. I think it's more of an earworm than So What was though.
