I thank you all for playing! It was an entertaining game to spectate. I hope most enjoyed the gameplay as well! Thank you to my fellow co-host @SirSamuel016 (and briefly @Farfalla) for providing the necessary support and inputs during the game! Once again thank you @Valhalla for the avatars! And most of all, congratulations mafia team (as the kids say nowadays) for copping the W! Also shoutouts to @GB for not speaking the truth once this game!

It was a simple but engaging experience. As you can see, the ???? was just another townie. In hindsight perhaps not as impactful but it was very omo seeing you all speculate over the identity of this mystery role. Unfortunately, in this sterile environment, we didn't get to trial the devil properly, as they both passed quickly. I think in special circumstances the potential is there, it is rather powerful in a more role-heavy comp. There are just enough secondaries for the psychiatrist to put IQ into analyzing their result (a difficult role to play in this game). Bomb's dominant strategy I think was somehow getting the mafia to kill them (feigning devil? ). Freeman... Died uncovered. And also came out quite early. If they had to die, that was probably the best time. The traitors deployed interesting strategies. Very exotic approach. Mafia overall played pretty decent; the first few nights town mislynched and only towards the mid-to-end did non-towns start perishing.

I am curious what you thought of the game and each other's performances! Was town too lazy? Was ???? too spicy? Did non-town play strong enough? Curious what you guys think of such role- and mechanicless comps ~

@GrySun Well, you're right since we don't know how many Devils the Mafia got, I just assumed they will have 2 as I doubt Town will have less than 3-4 devils on their own. So knowing who is a Devil would give us insight on who might be the Mafia Devil.

Also Mafia will most certainly choose prostitutes so we need to counter that with as many dets as possible. They could hope to become insane doc but that's like a 50% chance to become insane plus another 50% chance on getting an extra kill by chance. They will rather take their 100% chances on blocking us similar to how we had so many blocking roles in the genswap game. So three pairs will end up blocked, one killed and 2 without a result.

Our freeman dying early on ain't that bad as it increases chances that our mass dets might find different results quite soonish. As long as naive and paranoid dets are not included in the select action process... crap, what if they are? @Copy Panda It is only sane and insane det/docs actions we can get if choosing those actions, right? Please tell me there ain't a chance of becoming naive or paranoid, that would suck so much! >.<
Then again that would also mean naive doc would be part of the play reducing the chance of insane doc mafia to 33%. So extra kills are highly unlikely.

As for the ??? I assume either a SK, a Santa or a SS thought I doubt the third option due the many actions that are most likely flying around each night.

Votekill Seraph. Mostly due his assumption of how few devils they are in this game. I highly doubt we got only 2 of them. If he believes it is 1 vs 1 then perhaps he is assuming this due his mafia pm telling him his crew only got a single devil to make use of as prostitute. Which would be good for us.

But like I said, personally I doubt we got so few Devils within town with a Psychatrist among us. Especially if Copy Panda does see the whole doc/det action choosing part as having a "luck" part included with whatever sanity you end up with since the rules state we receive the town variant but does not talk about what sanity we get if we chose those roles that got them. Hope Panda answers my question in that regard soon.

You are always useful for your faction, when town you do try to find a good D1 vote and try to feel the players, every time you are mafia you either lay low or tunnel on 1 person on D1.

I'm not sure which is yet. Will watch more and see.

Yeah I did realize after posting, I got used to it and I like it now.

I wish it was odd or rare but Shad kinda does this always, not sure why he overfocuses on me since it usually doesn‘t end up well.
In game 100 for example he led to a town loss, so my strat is to assume he‘s town when he does this.

Sure we can.
After all it is a vague unknown part of the rule explanation of the Devil secondary role. If it was written we'd always receive the sane version, as that would sound fair as prostitute is the only one outta those 3 without any sanity involved thus all 3 have a 100% rate of success unless blocked, then we wouldn't need to ask. Since it doesn't talk about sanity we can and gotta ask to be sure.

Honestly i feel like it's too op to give mafia an other killing option, with doc, doubt there sanity problem but never safe than sorry
So we see, we can't predict these yet
But if they really are only sane because of the theme of vanilla game, i do agree that there probably 2 devil for townie and 1 for mafia, at least that seems reasonable for me to do that with how many people in game there is

True that if sanities are included that would suggest that many people have devil as secondary role.

Unimportant detail Pretty sure you genuinely upset like 5 or more townies that game and that got you lynched, I didn‘t do any hard campaigns other than suggestive „hey guys, isn‘t Shad annoying?“. Hence why I said you ruin yourself with overfocusing, and iirc you agreed with me on that before.

Out of the three townie roles only the prostitute is interesting for Mafia meaning we are up against 2 escorts each night so to say who gonna keep blocking us.

Hmmm every vanilla is a devil? I had the impression only some were, from reading the rule.

First game in a little while again, and it's a neat Vanilla one too. 3 Mafias and 1 "????". Guessing a Third Party? Oh well, no rushing just yet.

My gut tells me that we got a Devil on the Town's side and another one on the Mafia's side, not sure if the Hosts would introduce this role and then spam it all over the roster but that's just me.

Having said that, Let's have a fun game you guys!

Appreciate getting the MC Avatar btw. you know someone (The hosts) cares about the individual stories and legends when they give you what you deserve.

Agree on the mass Det, but I don‘t see a way to make a list without revealing the Devils. And this is one of the few game types where we don‘t really want mass reveals, much smaller benefits.

I think James said that cause he has the impression all vanillas (town and mafia) are devils. The Psy in game gives me the impression we have a hand full or so tho.

Oh, interesting vote from James. At first I got slightly suspicious on him because he was quick to say both vanilla mafia are devil, the way he seemed certain made me raise an eyebrow. Didn't put more effort to highlight that cause I think secondaries are hidden so mafia wouldn't know about the amount of devils they have on their team. I think.
