Here is a template for quick and easy setup of a Discord server for Mafia games:
-Has several categories:
-Everyone who joins the server won't see any channels until you have given them permission. Send a general server invite to all players in their PMs, then as they join assign them to the proper channels when needed. Ask them for their discord username if unclear who is who.
-When making new categories with sub-channels I suggest you go into the channel settings and sync their permissions with the main category via "Sync Now" so you just have to add players to the category instead of manually to all sub-channels. Don't do this if you have different groups of players under the same category(not recommended).

- "Join messages" - has an "info" channel where join-messages will be posted for every new person joining the server so you know whose permissions you can edit. Looks like this:
Only host is supposed to see these, to prevent players knowing who joined the pad already.
- "Deadpad" - has a "deadpad" channel for hosts, spectators and dead players.
- 2x "Mafia Pad" - has several mafia-related channels for discussing and planning.
- "Mason Pad", "Lover Pad" & "Mentor Pad" - have channels for discussing

How to give pad permissions:
Edit the category where you wish to add players, for example the "Mafia Pad" category.
Then on the next screen press "Add members or roles".
Add one or more players. Those can now see every channel of the category "Mafia Pad".
Alternatively you can click on a name in the "info" channel and give them a Role via the + button. I only suggest doing this for dead players to prevent a mess with Mason/Mafia pads with lovers etc.
All Dead player roles and spectators can see the Deadpad by default, so you don't need to add to the deadpad manually, just give them the proper role.
