I watched the anime before ever hearing about the manga but they completely killed the best parts in the manga. Add that in with the basic sci-fi/school harem series it was phoney as hell.

I endorse Taboo Tattoo

It was one of those rare cases where the whole is less than the sum of it's parts. It had some characters with potential, great voice acting, and the animation was even good. But the writing was so bad. The main heroines is named "Bluesy Flusey". Just pause and let that soak in for a minute and the story was just random nonsense.

I don't think I've ever watched a show that lived up to less of it's potential than Taboo Tattoo did.

I'll nominate that horrendous, predictive and heavily overrated series called Yuri!!! On Ice. Speaking of an anime that is only appreciated for its insane amount of fanservice in it. It seems like it's the only way how manga/anime creators can keep their followers close these days.

We just need more anime that receive justified fame for their good-written story lines, like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Attack On Titan. Let's hope the latter will save this year.

You bring up a good point. I nominated God Eater myself somewhere else, but we talked about this and decided that it's not eligible in the end, considering the majority of the show aired in Summer 2015
