Hello everyone! Welcome to the Rules thread!

As a MH event, it is obvious that every Forum Rule applies during this tournament as well, however there are some specific ones that we need to mention separately.

Tournament Rules

1. No bashing or flaming, direct or indirect
Please do not bash or insult each other. Let the discussions flow smoothly and be enjoyable for everyone. Also indirect, antagonistic remarks towards fellow members regarding their vote or their arguments in the discussion is not allowed!

2. Determining the Winner
The winner is decided by the contestant that manages to beat his/her opponent in the match. It does not necessarily have to be by killing, as long as the opponent is incapacitated in a decisive way or knocked out. Madara's warp technique is an example of a technique that makes him beat his opponent by incapacitating, or if you prefer, removing him from the battlefield.

3. Knowledge
Characters will have no detailed information about the other characters in the tournament. Which means that all characters are unaware of other's techniques, abilities, fighting style and mindset. Widely known facts are however still known, like Hashirama is known for mokuton, Uchiha for Sharingan/MS etc, but no details and unknowns like Hidan's ritual and need of being in the circle to perform it.

4. Suicidal techniques
Since this is a tournament, suicidal techniques won't be allowed. Characters will be allowed to get seriously hurt in the matches, but they won't be allowed to win a fight by sacrificing themselves as that would mean both contestants would die in the match. Examples: Shiki Fujin (Minato & Hiruzen), 8th Gate (Gai), C0 (Deidara).

5. Characters
Because the plot is moving forward and certain characters are being developed, they can only be considered as they have been "shown" (pic or text) capable of in the manga, except for the few characters that have been given a limit. Take a look at the spoiler below.

6. Threads and polls
Please leave the polls, the threads, the updates, etc to us. We (the staff) will take care of all organizational business. All you guys have to do is discuss, vote and enjoy the tournament!

7. About the votes
One vote = final vote. Discuss your opinion and think it through before voting. Choose wisely, because we won't change the votes if you reconsider later on.

8. All fights will happen in a neutral place, no contestant has any advantage or disadvantage over his/her opponent. External factors will not affect the battle itself.

Spoiler: Character limitations and info

1. Madara doesn't have the Rinnegan.

2. Nagato fights as himself with healthy legs and can use the abilities of all the Paths except Asura Path since it's robotic abilities.

3. Neither Orochimaru or Kabuto can use Edo Tensei as it requires significant preparation.

4. Lee and Gai can use gates like they've shown in the manga. Meaning that Gai can use 7 and Lee use 5 gates.

5. Itachi and Kimimaro are capable of what they've shown. They won't be hindered by their sickness in terms of coughing up blood or fall over and die in combat so don't consider their sickness as a "time limit" or decisive factor. Itachi's eyesight is like it was shown in his battle against Sasuke, but won't get any worse neither in battle nor in his next battles if he proceeds.

For all our sakes, follow these rules (and the forum rules in general) and we're sure we will all have a blast with this tournament!
