Info One Piece Best of Year 2020- Info Thread

I'd like to welcome all you lurkers, regular posters, Sanji fans, Zoro fans, swordboys and troublemakers especially to the annual One Piece "Best of Year" event!

Last year we did something a bit different and celebrated the last decade of the manga, but this time we're going back to just the 2020 period. Therefore the manga content that will be eligible are chapters 967 (official release 4th Jan 2020) to ch999 (will officially be released 21st Dec); totaling to 32 chapters.

Before the nomination rounds start, we will be hosting a recap reading club to go over those 32 chapters. Click HERE to join, to familiarise yourself with those past chapters and get involved in the discussion.

It's worth noting that only manga material (between ch967-ch999) are relevant to this event when it comes to nominating. However for referencing/ promotional purposes feel free to use anime pictures, providing your nomiation is stated clearly.

As we've lost our regular sources for reading the series, our main source for this event in terms of material will be Mangasee.

General Nomination Rules

If you want to change your nominations, please quote your original nomination post and clearly state which nomination(s) you want to change along with your new nominations.

• You are allowed up to three (3) nominations.
• Please clearly state the entry you are nominating as well as any further specifics (e.g. characters, chapters) if required.
• Please bold all your nominations.
• Supporting a nomination counts towards your total nominations.
• Half the entries with the most nominations will proceed to Voting Round 1.
• In case of tiebreak, the staff will cast the deciding vote that might occur.
• Nomination Round will last 4 days (ends on 24th Dec)

Event dates and therefore length are subject to change, as we go through this holiday period.

1st Round of voting has begun, everyone~

Voting Round 1

• Time: 3 days - Polls open through 3rd January
• Members can vote for 4 nominations. If there are less than 4 nominees, this voting round is skipped for the respective category.
• Only half of the current nominees (rounded up) will proceed to the next round.

• Members can vote for 2 entries out of those remaining. If there are less than 3 nominees, this voting round is skipped for the respective category.
• Only half of the current entries (rounded up) will proceed to the next round.

Will probably extend it til 8th just to allow 3 clear days before starting the final round.

• In case of a tie for most votes, all tied nominees will be considered winners.
