Sorry, took me a bit longer than anticipated. Result time:

This year was tighter than ever. We had a shared first place at 15 points with @George Monkey @Organizized and newcomer @voaneves ! So it all came down to the short film categories as the tie breaker, first time ever in practice. And the Oscar goes to.....

I didn’t even vote this year, but…. EEAaO…. I absolutely hated that movie…. Just as much as I hated Birdman a few years ago. I guess the next time I hate a movie and it’s up for an Oscar... it’s time to vote for it… even if it hurts.

Should have followed my heart with Jamie Lee. But happy she and EEAO dominated. Brilliant film.

I ruined my own win. On my first submission I had all the shorts categories right. Never second guess... I guess. (although I did switch to Women Talking on the second one, but also switched away from Fraser )

Your first round actually had 15 right as well, so no difference (you had All Quiet on Western Front as best adapted screenplay). Your second round was actually missing short documentary completely (lesson to me: make all questions mandatory), but even if you had picked Elephant Whisperers, you would have lost at the Big 5 with 5/6 against 6/6.

Your first round actually had 15 right as well, so no difference (you had All Quiet on Western Front as best adapted screenplay). Yeah I realized I got one right in exchange for one wrong. So in the end voaneves won thanks to the Big 5, and not shorts I guess?

Anyway, tougher year for predictions than last year (which was just played tediously safe across the board), so that's fun. Thanks for the initiative again, @Riku!

I know Monkey has said last year that they still want to keep an air of mystery, but I'd be curious to hear more from you in the movies thread, about like some of your favorite films in recent years, others you're looking forward to, obscure recommendations and so on

You might be right. I'll try to check what's going on later. I just trusted Google's auto count results, but giving it a quick manual count I also got 13 for you. I'll look into it tomorrow or so.

Here hoping something in the poll wasn't broken, and that I need to make a manual re-count for everyone.

Not a big deal for me, but I would've been even more disappointed if turns out I got 12 instead of 13, I checked my own marked pics I made and it's 13, but it's entirely possible I might've gone with another pick (by mistake?) on here, no worries.

I counted it again, and you got 12. Remember that short films don't count to full total, they just act as tie breakers.
