List of Japanese Lineup

VS Greece Lineup: Tokugawa, Tanegashima, Ochi, Tohno, Shiraishi, Akaya, Oishi

VS Australia Lineup: Oni, Yukimura, Sanada, Niou, Fuji, Atobe, Kintarou
(Note: They really put Niou in S2. Lmao)

VS Switzerland Lineup:
Byodoin, Duke, Irie, Ohmagari, Kite, Gin, Akutsu

VS France Lineup: Duke, Kimijama, Mouri, Yanagi, Shiraishi, Sanada, Ryoma

VS Germany Lineup: Byodoin, Oni, Tanegashima, Duke, Yukimura, Akaya, Niou

VS Spain Lineup: Tokugawa, Ohmagari, Ochi, Mouri, Atobe, Kintarou, Ryoma

How will your rank Japanese Lineups thru the tourney?

Imo, it goes like this:

1. VS GERMANY LINEUP
2. VS SPAIN LINEUP
3. VS SWITZERLAND LINEUP
4. VS FRANCE LINEUP
5. VS GREECE LINEUP
6. VS AUSTRALIA LINEUP

FUN FACT: Japan lost against Switzerland (0-3) using their 3rd strongest lineup sent. But won convincingly (3-0 or 3-1) using their 3 weakest lineup sent. Lmao.

Germany without a doubt. You have the strongest Hsers playing (except Toku), a really strong Mser for singles (Yuki), the best Mser for doubles (Niou) and a really great doubles player who evolved unbelievably (Akaya).

After that Spain, Tokugawa, Ryoma and Atobe are an ideal lineup wich surpasses the Msers from Germany by a lot, if I had to redo the strongest lineup now I’d include Ryoma and Atobe definitely. Ochi/Mouri are an ideal asset because their combination and doubles harmony is incredible and Ohmagari is also a really good doubles player, and Kintarou has atonishing potential and will aim to become a doubles specialist.

After those ones, Switzerland’s one probably falls in third place and after that currently I’d pick Australia’s one.

So:
1. Vs Germany
2. Vs Spain
3. Vs Switzerland
4. Australia
5. France
6. Greece

I completely agree with your order. It's rather funny that the team that played Switzerland was so strong but got demolished, and yet a considerably weaker line-up played France and won convincingly.

Imo the team against Germany started its round stronger than the current one, but the team used against Spain will turn up to be the best one once it's all over. If Atobe is any indication, so far it's an accurate sentiment.

Or maybe Switzerland is stronger than what we think. USA was able to outsmart them in their match.

We will see Ohmagari real strength this Finals. Then, we remember Peter outplayed him in their doubles match. Or maybe Henri dominated Kite.

Albert might be as strong as Duke. Or is it just that the gap between Randy and Gin are too big?

Overall, Switzerland killed them with a Quick kill lineup

Literally same strategy used by Fudomine against Hyotei

I wonder why not many teams do a quick kill lineup.

I doubt it in doubles

Will

Ohmagari/Kintaro and Ochi/Mouri

surpassed

Duke/Niou (with Illusion) and Tanegashima/Bismarck???

Interesting. But I will say no.

Especially, if the Japan Finals Doubles lineup lost against Mares/Seda and Julio/Silva. (Since It is implied Doubles Pro is the best doubles pair before losing to Niou/Duke. )

Unless, by some miracle of circumstances. It is revealed Julio/Silva > Bertie/Dankmar

2. VS SPAIN LINEUP
3. VS SWITZERLAND LINEUP
4. VS GREECE LINEUP
5. VS AUSTRALIA LINEUP
6. VS FRANCE LINEUP

Top 3 are self explanatory. I think vs France is their worst however. I should preface this with the knowledge that I'm looking at this from a view of when the lineup was drawn. So any mid-match upgrades will be ignored.

While against Australia they only field MSers + Oni, Oni is their 2nd Strongest Guy and they otherwise fielded probably the 6 Strongest middle schoolers. Yuki and Sanada were a great pair with great chemistry. Atobe and Fuji are both individually really strong even before their final evolutions and Kintarou was arguably Japan's Strongest MSer at the Time.

Against France though, they fielded a team with horrible chemistry, an unsolved Shiraishi, Rank 7, 2 middle schoolers in singles and finished with Duke. This lineup is full of holes.

Mouri and Yanagi are lower tier characters in their age bracket relative to their peers, and are currently feuding. Kimijima is also outside the G5 and Shiraishi's last feat was crumbling to Zeus's vibes. Ryoma was an untested player. Sanada is mostly fine, he already bagged one win. And Duke is somewhere between 3rd and 5th Strongest HSer at this point.

This shows France is very underwhelming despite being rank #3.

To think of they used 4 Hsers. And their 2 strongest Msers (Osval and ludovic)

But maybe Edgar and Jonathan are not in their top players?

I think VS GERMANY LINEUP and VS SPAIN LINEUP is probably more up to debate than people thought.

Singles 3:
IF Romeo is somehow equal to Bismarck, then that suggest Atobe now also is better than Romeo and then extension Bismarck, whom is a #2 player beyond QP (Although with QP evolution in the match who knows). But that does means Atobe to Oni right now is at least debatable.

Doubles 2:
Yeah the team that beat #1 team in tournament should win. It shouldn't be a contest.

Singles 2:
I don't see Yukimura beating Ryoma.

Doubles 1:
Tanegashima/Kirihara are strong, but Mouri/Ochi beat Oni/Byoudonin even if they are injured. They winning shouldn't be out of question.

Singles 1:
Byoudonin right now should win. But after the final then who knows?

So imo

S3 right now is quite debatable.
D2 go to Germany
S2 go to Spain
D1 is debatable, even right now with no upgrade to Mouri/Ochi pair.
S1 now go to Germany, but Tokugawa didn't have his final match upgrade yet.
